Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mon Ster (ranked 1215 p4p, 154 weight class) and Tomomi Tsuruta (ranked 1127 p4p, 144 weight class). Ster comes to the cage accompanied by The Automatic - Monster. Mon Ster could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tomomi Tsuruta's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mon Ster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tomomi Tsuruta! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tsuruta uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ster. Ster keeps Tsuruta at a distance using the push kick. Ster misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ster chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ster tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tsuruta paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ster moves in looking to clinch but Tsuruta pushes him off. Tsuruta keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Ster cracks the inside of Tsuruta's front leg. Ster steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tsuruta. Ster lands a slapping body shot.
Ster pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ster throws a right and a left that Tsuruta avoids nicely. Ster has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Team Beta Fail in the buildup to the fight. A cross from Tsuruta lands. Tsuruta throws a series of punches but Ster avoids them all with ease. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A jab from Ster does it's job there. Tsuruta uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ster.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ster tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ster takes a body punch but keeps moving. Tsuruta wants to clinch. Tsuruta tries to clinch up but Ster circles away and keeps his distance. Mon Ster is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ster throws a jab but it's blocked by Tsuruta. Ster looks to score with a jab to the body but Tsuruta is just out of range. Tsuruta tries to counter by closing the distance. Tsuruta's coach down at Grounders Foundation was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Tsuruta's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Ster has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ster working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Tsuruta doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

It looks like Tomomi Tsuruta has been cut. Tsuruta scores with a shoulder strike. Ster tries to work over Tsuruta's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Tsuruta scores with an uppercut up the middle.
It looks like Mon Ster has been cut. Tsuruta taking a breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ster blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Ster misses with a hook to the ribs.
Ster misses with the head strike.

This has been an exciting period of action! Ster working Tsuruta over with knees to the body. Tsuruta looks winded! Ster just leaning against Tsuruta, taking a breather. Ster tries to land knees in the clinch but Tsuruta avoids the damage to the body. Tsuruta on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Ster taking a breather. Tsuruta wants to take the fight to the mat but Ster manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Tsuruta misses with the head strike.

Ster breaks the clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Ster. No joy for Tsuruta on that attempt. Tsuruta moves into range and connects with a jab. Tsuruta takes a jab right on the kisser.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ster does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Tsuruta tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Ster rushes Tsuruta and presses him up against the cage. Tsuruta blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Tsuruta tries to work over Ster's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Ster working some nice short punches in the clinch. Tsuruta managing to block the knees to the body from Ster.

Ster prevents a takedown attempt there.
Mon Ster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomomi Tsuruta. Ster is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Tsuruta is defending well for now. Ster throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Ster prevents a body shot from Tsuruta. Tsuruta takes a shot to the head. A shot in the inside from Tsuruta. Ster breaks from the clinch.
Ster throws a hook but Tsuruta blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ster misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The fight stays on the outside here - Tsuruta looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ster throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Tsuruta tumbling to the canvas!
Tsuruta is rocked! Ster throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Tsuruta is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tsuruta lands strikes from half guard. Tsuruta trying to control from half guard but Ster is working away. Ster is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Tsuruta missing with the ground and pound from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mon Ster dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Tsuruta scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ster in his tracks. A cross from Ster lands. Tsuruta dives in and scores a takedown into Ster's guard. Ster wants to get back to his feet but Tsuruta is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Ster wants to sweep but no luck. Tsuruta throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ster works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Tsuruta lands a couple of digs. Ster trying to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tsuruta throws an elbow that misses. Ster uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tsuruta's guard. Nice move by Ster! Ster cracks Tsuruta with a solid left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tsuruta wants to improve his position but instead Ster has moved into half guard.
Ster wants to take a breather but Tsuruta is having none of it. Tsuruta is looking to improve his position.
Tsuruta is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ster's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ster's back! Ster wants to escape the position.
Can Ster hold on?! Tsuruta is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Ster rolls, trying to escape but Tsuruta keeps control of the position.
Tomomi Tsuruta has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tsuruta avoiding Ster 's attempts to control his hands. Ster covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Mon Ster's cut is getting worse. Ster is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Ster is taking damage to the body and head. Ster tries to break free.
Tsuruta lands a shot to the body.
Mon Ster's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Tsuruta has good solid back control here. Tsuruta has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ster trying to control but not successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tsuruta misses with a punch to the head. Tsuruta is hanging on to Ster's back as he tries to escape.
Ster is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tsuruta can do to turn this around? Tsuruta throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Ster covers up after that shot from Tsuruta.
Jeez, Mon Ster's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mon Ster's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Tomomi Tsuruta! Tomomi Tsuruta seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
