Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Kelly ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Unsworth! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Russell Pearce and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Unsworth thuds his right hand into Kelly 's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Unsworth gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kelly to score an easy takedown into full guard. Kelly passes easily into side control. Nice work. Kelly tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Unsworth tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Kelly presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Unsworth wants to control but Kelly is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Unsworth really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kelly controlling from mount. Kelly lands a big elbow. Kelly avoids the attempt from Unsworth to control. Unsworth is trying desperately to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Unsworth is just holding on here. Kelly manages to take his back.
Unsworth trying to control the action but Kelly just sinks the hooks in. Kelly has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Kelly biding his time, looking for the opening.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Unsworth trying to control the hands but Kelly won't let him. Unsworth tries to roll but Kelly sticks to his back.
Unsworth trying to control the hands but Kelly breaks the grip. Kelly could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Unsworth is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Unsworth trying to control the other hand but Kelly gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Unsworth has tapped out! The fight is over!
