Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Hero Galanos (ranked 610 p4p, 89 weight class) and Richard Kuklinski (ranked 4077 p4p, 380 weight class). Galanos comes into the arena with oh boy, he's walking out in gladiator trunks blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 4 losses; Hero Galanos! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 30 wins and 10 losses; Richard Kuklinski! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Galanos looking to score a takedown here. Kuklinski is defending well but Galanos drives through and ends up in Kuklinski's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Galanos (2) vs (0) Kuklinski Galanos seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Kuklinski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Galanos is one step ahead there. Galanos engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Kuklinski tries to land a sweep but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kuklinski seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Galanos is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Galanos's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Kuklinski is looking for a triangle but Galanos pushes his legs off easily.
Kuklinski wants to control position but Galanos is using a can opener to pass guard... He's turned it into a full on guillotine from mount now! Big trouble for Kuklinski here! He's turning a lovely shade of purple and yep! He's tapping out! I would say world class Jiu Jitsu but is it really? It was nice but let's not get silly about it.
