The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thistlewhite tries to keep at a distance but Thai has taken the fight into the clinch.
I was talking to Thistlewhite's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Thistlewhite lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Thai lands a knee to the head.

It looks like Ignatius Thistlewhite has been cut.
Thistlewhite swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Thistlewhite breaks the clinch.
Thistlewhite swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Thai paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
The fight stays on the outside here - Thistlewhite looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Thistlewhite throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thai's waist but Thai gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Thistlewhite off to one side.
Thai follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Thistlewhite misses with a jab, cross combination.
Thai throws a counter combo.
Thistlewhite is looking to clinch but Thai is avoiding it.

Ignatius Thistlewhite seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Thistlewhite tries to break free but Thai pushes him back against the cage.

Thai lands a big knee! That's hurt Thistlewhite! Oh, he's all over the place! Thai lands another knee that sends Thistlewhite to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
