Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tristan Anderson (ranked 5301 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hebi Koiru (ranked 5243 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tristan Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hebi Koiru! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koiru goes for a double leg but Anderson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Anderson continues to drive forward. Koiru shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Koiru misses with a takedown and Anderson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Tristan Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hebi Koiru. Anderson has Koiru pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Koiru manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Anderson has picked Koiru up - he's going for a ride! Anderson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Koiru is looking to control Anderson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Koiru avoid being mounted? Koiru is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Anderson pulls his head out easily. Anderson thows a huge punch but Koiru dodges it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Koiru tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koiru trying to control but Anderson postures up.
Koiru has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Anderson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Koiru controls his leg. Koiru keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Koiru flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Koiru is trying to maintain the position but Anderson is very close to passing his half guard. Koiru moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Koiru is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Koiru working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Anderson. Anderson trying to control but Koiru is working from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Anderson has closed the distance and engaged Koiru in a clinch.
Koiru jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Anderson walks away with a smile on his face. Koiru gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Koiru tries for a takedown but Anderson circles away easily and Anderson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Koiru changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Anderson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Koiru tries to score with some ground and pound. Anderson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Anderson wants to control but Koiru postures up. Koiru tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Anderson is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koiru is looking to take a break and control but Anderson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Anderson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Koiru working away. Koiru trying to control the action but Anderson is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Koiru is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Koiru throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Anderson works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Anderson trying to control from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Koiru wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anderson keeps working.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tristan Anderson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Anderson moves in looking to clinch but Koiru pushes him off. Koiru shoots in and drives through. Anderson sprawls well. Anderson darts in and clinches Koiru up against the cage. Koiru has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Anderson after a bit of a struggle. Koiru misses with some punches.
Anderson tries to stall but Koiru uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Anderson is working for takedown but Koiru is calmly controlling the position for now. Anderson has Koiru pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Anderson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Koiru tumbling to the mat - Anderson dives into Koiru's guard. Koiru working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Anderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Anderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Koiru throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Anderson wants to stand and escape but instead Koiru has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson keeping moving, preventing Koiru from controlling successfully. Koiru throwing strikes but missing. Koiru controls from within his opponent's guard. Koiru postures up.
Koiru trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Koiru postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Koiru wants to pass the guard but Anderson is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Koiru controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Koiru missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Koiru being controlled here momentarily. Koiru thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Anderson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Koiru on the ground. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Koiru accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Anderson keeping moving, preventing Koiru from controlling successfully.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Koiru dives in for a single leg takedown but Anderson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Tristan Anderson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Koiru throws a body shot but no joy. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Anderson tries a head kick but it misses.
Koiru shoots in for a takedown but Anderson shows good takedown defense. Koiru tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Anderson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Hebi Koiru will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Koiru swats him away and circles back towards the center. Koiru swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Koiru tries to score a power double leg takedown but Anderson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Koiru somewhat. Anderson gets a clinch. Anderson trying to stall but Koiru improves his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Koiru has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anderson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Anderson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Koiru preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Koiru has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Anderson doesn't defend quickly enough and Koiru has managed to lock this one up! Can Anderson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Koiru on a fantastic submission victory.
