Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jackie Daniels (ranked 24378 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rubin Floy (ranked 8444 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jackie Daniels has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jackie Daniels! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rubin Floy! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daniels fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Floy avoids it really well and circles away. Daniels fails with an attempt to clinch.
Daniels throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Floy tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Daniels defends well and Floy ends up having to push Daniels into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Daniels tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Floy manages to circle out of the way. Daniels wants to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daniels fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A head kick misses from Daniels.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daniels closes the distance looking to clinch and Floy counters with a nice body shot. Daniels is looking to clinch. Floy is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Daniels shoots in for a takedown but Floy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Floy is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jackie Daniels. That's going to take a lot out of him. Floy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Floy doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Floy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Daniels tries to avoid it but Floy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Daniels to the ground. Daniels escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Floy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Daniels sprawls well. Daniels wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Floy gets slowly back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daniels tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Floy swivels and escapes. Daniels will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. No luck with that takedown attempt from Daniels. Floy unleashes a big counter combination but Daniels bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Floy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Floy looks winded! Daniels tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Floy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Floy shoots for a double leg takedown but Daniels sprawls well. He's pushed Floy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Floy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Daniels throws a nice head kick!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniels shoots in but no luck this time. Floy shoots and misses and Daniels counters with a good, hard body kick but Floy shrugs it off. Daniels wants to clinch. Daniels tries to close the distance and clinch but Floy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Daniels fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. We've been informed that Floy has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. A head kick misses from Daniels. Daniels shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Floy but Floy pushes him off and we're back to square one. Floy swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Daniels wants to clinch up but Floy keeps it at a distance. Floy shoots for a double leg takedown but Daniels sprawls well. He's pushed Floy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Daniels could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Daniels throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Floy tries for a takedown but Daniels circles away easily and Daniels counters with a head kick. That will keep Floy thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Daniels fails with an attempt to clinch.
Daniels tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Floy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jackie Daniels dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Floy shoots in looking for a takedown but Daniels manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Floy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Daniels tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Floy manages to circle out of the way. Daniels tries to clinch up. Daniels shoots in for a double leg but Floy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Daniels misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daniels tries to clinch but Floy is having none of it. Floy is breathing heavily. Floy shoots in for a takedown but Daniels shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Floy appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Floy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Floy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Daniels. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jackie Daniels. That's going to take a lot out of him. Daniels shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Floy counters by clinching up. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Floy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daniels misses with a knee strike.
Daniels jumps into guard, dragging Floy to the mat.
Floy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Floy in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Floy preventing the sweep. Floy is looking to pass into half guard but Daniels pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Daniels is in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniels trying to control the position from guard on top but Floy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Floy looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Daniels postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Daniels is looking to stand up but Floy won't let him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Floy keeping full guard, as Daniels tries to pass. Floy can't keep his opponent in guard - Daniels advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Daniels not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Daniels sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Floy defending well though. Daniels throwing shots but Floy is blocking nicely. Floy is not content to let Daniels control the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Daniels missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jackie Daniels is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Daniels stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Daniels wants it to stay on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! No luck for Daniels with that takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jackie Daniels dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Floy throws out a counter right but Daniels avoids it with no problem. Floy closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Floy is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Daniels gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Daniels pulls guard effortlessly. Floy stays in close to Daniels's body and controls the position. Floy looking to pass the guard. Floy is posturing up here but Daniels has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Floy tries to roll out but it's too tight and Floy has to tap! Slick submission there by Daniels!
