Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Johnson (ranked 1983 p4p, 227 weight class) and Dirk Kutaz (ranked 2370 p4p, 269 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Johnson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dirk Kutaz! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kutaz defends well and Johnson ends up having to push Kutaz into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Johnson throws a half hearted mid kick. Johnson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kutaz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Johnson somewhat. Kutaz drives through and clinches with Johnson against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Kutaz. Johnson is trying to pull guard but Kutaz turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kutaz lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Kutaz lands a left hand.
Kutaz lands a nice uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kutaz lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Kutaz lands a left hand that snaps the head of Johnson backwards. Kutaz softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A short right from Kutaz. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kutaz creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A nice right hand lands inside from Kutaz.
Johnson is rocked! Johnson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. A short left from Kutaz. Oh Johnson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kutaz lands a body punch. Kutaz lands a nice uppercut. Kutaz lands a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kutaz creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Johnson's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Johnson drops to his knees and Kutaz pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dirk Kutaz! Dirk Kutaz is the new lightweight champion! Dirk Kutaz decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
