Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ciprian Mukesha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geronimo Kustavo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mukesha comes to the cage accompanied by Sound of Madness. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Geronimo Kustavo!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kustavo keeps the fight on the outside.
Kustavo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mukesha.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kustavo.
Kustavo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mukesha swivels and escapes.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Mukesha with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Mukesha tries to land a knee to the head but Kustavo blocks with his arms.

Mukesha breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kustavo tries to clinch there but Mukesha circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mukesha fails with a takedown attempt.

and Mukesha counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kustavo!
Ciprian Mukesha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Geronimo Kustavo.
Mukesha can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kustavo is looking to escape.

Kustavo is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Mukesha is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Mukesha is looking to take a break and control but Kustavo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Kustavo rushes Mukesha and presses him up against the cage.

Mukesha pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Mukesha has his takedown stuffed
and Kustavo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Mukesha is breathing heavily.
Kustavo throws a nice looking combination but Mukesha bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kustavo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Mukesha counters by clinching up.
Kustavo goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mukesha prevents it.
Mukesha throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kustavo blocks it with crossed arms.
Mukesha using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kustavo has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kustavo as Mukesha tries to tie him up.

Mukesha misses with a knee to the head.
Kustavo tries to score a body lock takedown but Mukesha shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Kustavo decides to pull guard.
Mukesha wants to get up but he can't break Kustavo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Kustavo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kustavo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mukesha doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mukesha manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mukesha postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Mukesha distracts Kustavo with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Mukesha is looking to stand up but Kustavo isn't so interested in that idea.
