A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fertit shoots in for a double leg but Manoel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Manoel scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Manoel connects with a crisp jab.
Manoel throws a right and a left that both miss.
Manoel scores with a jab to the jaw.
Manoel thuds a left hand into Fertit's body.
Manoel looks to land a combination. Fertit sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like CJ Fertit has been cut.
Fertit scores a takedown into full mount!

Fertit tries to control but Manoel wriggling away.
Manoel wants to get back to his feet.
Manoel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fertit on the ground.
Fertit is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Manoel is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Manoel flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Fertit anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Manoel and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Fertit slips an arm under Manoel chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Fertit has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Fertit is squeezing on Manoel like an anaconda would it's prey. Manoel fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
