Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sasha Beliy (ranked 2009 p4p, 184 weight class) and Ickey Woods (ranked 2502 p4p, 215 weight class). Woods has chosen System of a Down- Chop Suey as his entrance music. Sasha Beliy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods dodges the punch combination from Beliy.
The fighters circling - Woods throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Beliy thows a left - swing and a miss!

Beliy does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Beliy wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Beliy tries to bum rush Woods with a series of wild strikes but Woods uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Woods lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Beliy at a distance.
Sasha Beliy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beliy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Woods sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Beliy uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Woods.

Beliy connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Woods's hands.

Woods takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Woods shoots in looking for a takedown but Beliy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Woods's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Beliy wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Woods closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Woods gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Beliy.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Woods wants to clinch up but Beliy keeps it at a distance.
Beliy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Woods can do to turn this around?
