Stark is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Down With The Sickness. Yrjo Pieru had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pieru gets the takedown into side control.
Stark regains half guard.
Pieru takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Pieru slips a nice elbow through Stark's hands, connecting with Stark's forehead.
Pieru is keen to just control but Stark is a slippery customer.
Stark is looking for a sweep. Pieru is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Stark is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Pieru pulls his head out easily.
Stark is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Pieru jumps into side control!
Pieru works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Pieru stands up and beckons Stark to his feet.
Stark throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Stark has his takedown stuffed

and Pieru decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stark's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Stark is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pieru is controlling him.

Pieru decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Stark on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

and Pieru counters with a takedown into side control.

Stark sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Pieru is keen to just control but Stark is a slippery customer.
Pieru throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
It looks like Pieru is going to stand back up.
Pieru takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Stark is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pieru's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pieru's back!
