Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Titan Reign (ranked 370 p4p, 49 weight class) and Doug Bell (ranked 509 p4p, 73 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Titan Reign! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Doug Bell! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reign fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bell throws a big shot that misses. Bell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Reign actively working from the bottom here. Reign moves into full guard.
Reign keeping moving, preventing Bell from controlling successfully. Bell throws a big right hand that misses. Bell throws a big elbow that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bell wants to control from the top but Reign keeps moving. Bell missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bell wants to control from the top but Reign keeps moving. Reign will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Reign looking to control.

Reign is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Reign controls Bell momentarily but Bell frees himself. Reign has momentary wrist control but Bell slips an elbow through the middle. Bell trying to control the position from guard on top but Reign is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Reign trying to keep a closed guard but Bell is proving a slippery customer.
Reign seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Reign preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Bell trying to control but Reign is working from the bottom. Reign working a defensive guard here.

Bell advances position into side control! You can see the frustration on Reign's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bell landing strikes. Reign sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Reign looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Bell seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Reign is looking to control Bell's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Reign avoid being mounted? The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bell is trying to control. Reign wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Bell passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Reign! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Doug Bell dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Reign misses with an uppercut. Bell throws a looping overhand right but Reign ducks down to avoid it. Bell cracks a nice hook into Reign's ribs. Doug Bell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bell ducks under a wild hook from Reign. The crowd cheers as Reign lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bell doesn't seem phased though. Bell takes a swing at Reign's ribcage but misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bell moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Bell throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Reign to counter with a crisp jab. Reign takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Bell waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Reign.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circle momentarily. Bell darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Bell misses with a lunging right hand
and Reign connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bell lands a nice looking body shot.
Bell throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Reign ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Reign scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bell in his tracks. Bell has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Bell takes one on the button. Titan Reign is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Reign misses with a hook. Bell closes the distance and lands a one-two. Bell looks to throw the jab but Reign is out of range. Reign lands with an overhand left. This has been an exciting period of action! Reign throws a hook but Bell avoids it easily. Bell swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bell uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Reign. A jab from Bell misses. Reign avoids the body shot from Bell.
Reign is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Reign keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bell. Bell throws a nice looking combination but Reign bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Bell loads up on a big right hand but Reign slips the punch. Reign smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Bell throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Reign throwing a counter right hand but Bell manages to avoid it. Reign forces Bell back against the cage and clinches. Reign has a couple of punches blocked by Bell.
Reign softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Reign lands a body punch in the clinch. Reign breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Reign blocks a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight moves into the clinch position. Reign lands a right hand. Bell swings wildly with an uppercut but Reign uses good head movement to avoid it. Reign is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Bell is keeping busy. Bell throws a head punch that misses. Still in the clinch, Reign scores with a nice short uppercut. Bell blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Reign misses with a hook from the clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Bell. Bell tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Bell lands with a light punch inside. Bell scores with a shoulder strike. Bell struggles to land a body shot inside as Reign controls his hands.
Bell tries to throw a body punch but Reign avoids it by throwing Bell back against the cage. Bell tries to work over Reign's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Bell misses with a hook from the clinch. Bell can't find room to land a body shot as Reign controls the action.
Bell has picked Reign up - he's going for a ride! Bell dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Bell drops an elbow to the side of Reign's head. Bell scoring with strikes to the body and head. Reign looking for submissions off his back. Doug Bell has got the better of the ground game so far. Reign is looking to improve his position.
Bell is keen to just control but Reign is a slippery customer. My spies in Crapollas Gym inform me that Bell has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Bell slows the pace down in half guard. Reign is not content to let Bell control the position. Bell throwing shots but Reign is blocking nicely. Reign actively working from the bottom here. Reign regains full guard. Nicely done. Bell throwing strikes from guard but Reign blocks nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Doug Bell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Bell scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Bell throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Reign shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Bell throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Reign connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bell's hands. Reign is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Bell misses with a body shot.
Bell is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Reign. Bell misses with a wild body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reign avoids the body shot from Bell.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bell slips under a jab. Bell doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. A big right from Bell misses. Jab by Bell. Reign displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bell throws out the jab. Bell takes a body punch but keeps moving. Bell misses with an uppercut. Reign feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bells jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Bell throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Reign to counter with a crisp jab. Bell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reign was well out of range. Poor timing from Bell. Reign was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Bell slips a jab and a cross from Reign.

Bell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Reign moves away. Reign swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Bell lands the left hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bell misses with the combination.
Reign keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bell. Reign is looking to counter punch. Bell takes a swing at Reign's ribcage but misses. Reign tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Bell is able to avoid easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Reign looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. This has been an exciting period of action! A jab from Reign misses. Reign scores with a jab. A shot to the body from Bell misses and Reign connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bell lands with a good body shot. Bell ducks under a wild hook from Reign. Doug Bell is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Bell fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Bell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Bell trying to control the position but Reign is working away. Reign is looking to regain half guard here but Bell keeps moving and retains side control. Bell is looking to take a break and control but Reign is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Doug Bell. Well Bell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
