Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dick Black (ranked 3502 p4p, 118 weight class) and Nick Crompton (ranked 23625 p4p, 232 weight class). Black comes into the arena with The Dicks - Rich Daddy blaring out of the sound system. Nick Crompton has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crompton on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Black shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Crompton manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Crompton can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Black controls the pace.

Black is pushing down on Crompton's leg trying to pass to half guard. Crompton is fighting to maintain full guard but Black has managed to sneak the leg through.
Crompton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Black. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Black is looking for a kimura but Crompton is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Black to get the leverage.
Black is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Crompton sees it coming and defends easily.
Crompton throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Black looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Crompton with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Crompton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Black is working away from the top position though.

Black decides to stand back up. Black steps back and let's Crompton get back to his feet.

Black goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Crompton rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Black's guard! Nice work there by Crompton!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Black manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Crompton manages to get himself to full guard.

Black is in close to Crompton's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Black makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Black might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Black has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Black shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Crompton as he avoids it easily.
Black drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Black is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Crompton knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Black has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
No luck for Black with that takedown attempt.
Crompton tries to clinch but Black moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Black dives in and grabs Crompton's left leg, looking for a takedown. Crompton pushes down on Black's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dick Black. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Crompton darts in looking for a takedown but Black gets double underhooks and turns Crompton into the cage.
Crompton defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Black.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Crompton enables Black to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Crompton manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dick Black overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Black accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Crompton takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Black has an Americana. Crompton didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Black is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Black hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
