0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Conor McDreger! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McDreger will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Chan throws a quick counter kick to the body but McDreger avoids it. Chan gets cracked with a nice right hand there by McDreger. McDreger misses the shot to the body. Some wild striking there from McDreger.
Chan throws a counter high kick but McDreger was just alert enough to avoid it. McDreger swinging wildly here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McDreger moves into the clinch. Chan jumps guard but McDreger turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Chan is looking for a takedown. McDreger is trying to force a seperation but Chan has the dominant position.

McDreger gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Chan prevents McDreger from breaking the clinch. Chan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite McDreger's efforts to push away. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. McDreger ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. McDreger no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chan postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. McDreger has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Chan is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Chan changes levels and goes for a takedown here. McDreger fights it off and pushes away nicely.
McDreger moves into the clinch. McDreger is trying to break free. McDreger wants the takedown. Chan is fighting it off but McDreger persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Chan's guard against the cage. Chan manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Chan wants a takedown.

McDreger has had enough of the clinch but Chan keeps him there for the moment. McDreger works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. McDreger decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. McDreger connects with a crisp jab. Chan fails with the takedown. Conor McDreger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Chan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McDreger's guard. McDreger pushes Chan off and gets back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McDreger has Chan up against the cage in a clinch.

McDreger is trying to break the clinch but Chan has him pressed against the cage. McDreger works on Chan's body with a couple of short punches. Chan is trying to stall.

Can McDreger avoid being mounted? Chan wants to work for an arm triangle but McDreger is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Chan wants to lay and pray for a moment but McDreger keeps working. McDreger is trying to stand up here but Chan is controlling him well. Chan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McDreger's head. Chan is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, McDreger has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. McDreger wants to get back to his feet.
McDreger is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. McDreger kicks off Chan and gets to his feet. A right-left combo lands from McDreger. McDreger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. It looked like Chan was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. McDreger throws out a loose jab but Chan uses good head movement to avoid it. McDreger throws a left and a right that both miss
and Chan counters with a nice kick to the body. McDreger is breathing heavily. McDreger misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chan closes the distance and clinches up with McDreger, looking for a takedown. Chan pushes McDreger against the cage but McDreger circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. McDreger has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Chan moves into the clinch successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round. McDreger breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nice takedown defense from McDreger. No joy for Chan on that attempt. And an attempted straight right on the counter from McDreger! But no joy. McDreger connects with a body shot that sends Chan's belly button to the back. McDreger moves into the clinch. A short body shot lands from McDreger as the two fighters clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chan can't get the takedown.

Conor McDreger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

It looks like Darrel Chan has been cut. McDreger closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Chan out cold! Chan corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Conor McDreger! Conor McDreger was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
