The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ang lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Haynes circles away quickly and effectively.
Haynes seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Ang throws a head kick that misses.
Ang looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Haynes!
Haynes throws Ang to one side and escapes!
Ang throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
It looked like Haynes was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Haynes gets caught napping as Ang dives in and scores a takedown. Haynes manages to retain guard.
Haynes has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Ang is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ang throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Ang really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haynes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Haynes throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Ang closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ang lands in his opponent's guard.
Haynes scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Ang bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Haynes wants to get back to his feet but Ang drags him back down.
Haynes manages to get back to half guard.
Haynes makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Haynes.
Haynes wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Haynes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ang doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Haynes is tightening it up a little... Ang has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ang reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ang taps out! Nice BJJ there by Haynes!
