Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Supple Vines (ranked 3331 p4p, 382 weight class) and Kimo Latchman (ranked 4840 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Supple Vines! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kimo Latchman! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vines throws a body kick that misses. Latchman feints the counter takedown. Vines throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Latchman tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Vines is in Latchman's guard. Vines knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Latchman on the ground. Vines pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Latchman is keeping the position for now. Vines works over Latchman with some ground and pound from guard. Vines is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Vines trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vines wants to control from the top but Latchman keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vines looking to pass the guard. Latchman is adopting a defensive guard. Latchman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vines is aware though and is defending well. Latchman is controlling Vines's posture.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Vines gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Latchman to score an easy takedown into full guard. Vines might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Latchman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Latchman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vines throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Latchman escapes and throws Vines's legs to the side, diving into side control! Vines tries to bench press Latchman off him but Latchman keeps the position. Latchman tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Latchman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Latchman working away. Vines tries to improve position but can't. Latchman tries to advance to mount but can't. Vines tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Latchman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Vines is not content to let Latchman control the position. Vines looks to move to half guard but instead Latchman has passed into mount! Damn! Vines wants to try and get back to his feet. Vines is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Vines bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Vines looking to sit in guard and control but Latchman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Vines throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kimo Latchman will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nice takedown defense from Vines. No joy for Latchman on that attempt. Vines looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Vines lands a head kick. Latchman smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Kimo Latchman has been cut. Vines stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vines wants it to stay on the feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Latchman. Supple Vines has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kimo Latchman. Latchman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Vines defends it nicely. Vines keeps the fight on the outside. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vines shoots in and gets a takedown into Latchman's guard. Vines trying to control the position from guard on top but Latchman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Latchman is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vines sitting in guard here, content to control. Vines drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Latchman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vines has Latchman in his guard. Latchman trying to control but Vines is working from the bottom. Vines controls Latchman momentarily but Latchman frees himself. Vines is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vines is on top in guard.
Latchman wriggles free and stands up. Vines pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Vines misses with a takedown and Latchman makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Vines tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Vines tries to clinch up. Vines closes the distance and clinches up with Latchman, looking for a takedown. Vines pushes Latchman against the cage but Latchman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vines fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Latchman to the ground. Vines is now in Latchman's guard. Latchman manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Latchman is pressed up against the cage. Vines has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Latchman down to the mat. Latchman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Vines bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Latchman trying his best to control but Vines has mounted him. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Latchman has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Vines's lack of action.
Latchman makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Vines misses with a double jab.
Latchman shoots in looking for a takedown but Vines manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Latchman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Latchman blocks a head kick by Vines.
Latchman was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vines shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Latchman as he avoids it easily. Latchman unleashes a big counter combination but Vines bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Latchman has his takedown stuffed and Vines counters with a single leg into guard. Latchman didn't expect that. Latchman wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Vines trying to control but Latchman is working from the bottom. Latchman keeping full guard, as Vines tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Supple Vines will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Kimo Latchman's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Vines has his takedown stuffed and Latchman counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Horrible takedown attempt by Latchman or perhaps it was just good defense by Vines, which made it look bad. No luck with that takedown attempt from Latchman. Vines fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Latchman sprawls well initially but Vines persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Vines is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Latchman sees it coming and defends easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Latchman preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Vines stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Latchman to get to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vines moves into range and clinches up with Latchman. A nice right hand lands inside from Latchman. Latchman jumps guard but Vines stands there with Latchman around his waist. Latchman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Supple Vines has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kimo Latchman. Vines tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Latchman just stands there and leans against the cage. Latchman blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Latchman fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Vines is trying to drag Latchman to the mat but Latchman just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Latchman as Vines tries to tie him up. Vines tries to pull guard but Latchman holds him up against the cage and eventually Vines drops back down to his feet.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Latchman drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vines gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Vines misses with a knee strike.
Vines pulls guard successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vines trying to keep a closed guard but Latchman is proving a slippery customer.
Latchman trying to control the position from guard on top but Vines is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Latchman is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Vines being controlled here, momentarily. Vines lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Latchman looking for a guillotine here but Vines defends easily.
Vines trying to control but Latchman is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Latchman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vines gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Vines is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
And that's the end of the fight! Supple Vines showed his dominance in that final round. I think Vines has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
