Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenshi Kimura (ranked 5481 p4p, 492 weight class) and Demarco Johannsen (ranked 5333 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kenshi Kimura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Demarco Johannsen! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johannsen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Johannsen tries a head kick but it misses.
Johannsen shoots in but no luck this time. Kimura swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Demarco Johannsen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johannsen fails to land with a series of punches.
The fighters circling - Kimura throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Johannsen is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Kimura misses the shot to the body. Johannsen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kimura circles away quickly and effectively. Kimura tries to counter with a takedown but Johannsen is quick to defend against it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kimura misses with a wild body shot. A big left from Kimura misses. Kimura throws a looping overhand right but Johannsen ducks down to avoid it. Kimura blocks a head kick by Johannsen.

That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Kimura or perhaps it was just good defense by Johannsen, which made it look bad. A head kick misses from Johannsen. Kimura defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Johannsen. Johannsen closes the distance and clinches up with Kimura, looking for a takedown. Johannsen pushes Kimura against the cage but Kimura circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kenshi Kimura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demarco Johannsen. Johannsen clinches with his opponent.

Johannsen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kimura. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kimura pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Johannsen is keeping the position for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kimura misses the shot to the body. Johannsen scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Johannsen is figuring out what he wants to do next. Kimura tries to roll over but Johannsen keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johannsen passes into side control, despite Kimura's attempt to control the position.
Kimura struggling a bit here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kimura is positioning himself to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Demarco Johannsen dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Johannsen looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Johannsen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kimura has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johannsen has managed to get both his arms back between Kimura's legs - danger averted. Johannsen content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Johannsen is looking to stand up but Kimura won't let him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johannsen postures up in Kimura's guard and throws a big left but Kimura blocks it. Kimura keeping moving, preventing Johannsen from controlling successfully. Kimura controls Johannsen momentarily but Johannsen frees himself. Johannsen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kimura looking for a guillotine here but Johannsen defends easily.

Johannsen wants to control from the top but Kimura keeps moving. Demarco Johannsen has got the better of the ground game so far. Kimura working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Johannsen has passed into half guard!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Johannsen looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Johannsen has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Johannsen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kimura does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Johannsen is controlling the pace.
Kimura is looking to control Johannsen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kimura avoid being mounted?

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kimura throws an off balance right hand
and Johannsen counters with a takedown into side control. Johannsen lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Johannsen staying calm. Kimura can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johannsen working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johannsen is looking to take a break and control but Kimura is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Johannsen throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Demarco Johannsen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Kimura throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johannsen's waist but Johannsen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kimura off to one side. A big right from Kimura misses. Johannsen tries to close the distance and clinch but Kimura swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kimura attempts a counter takedown but Johannsen avoids it well and moves away. Kimura throws a shot from downtown. Johannsen moves away and avoids it. Kimura misses with an uppercut
and Johannsen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kimura won't be happy with that. Kimura wants to control but Johannsen postures up. Johannsen wants to control but Kimura is keeping him busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johannsen is trying to get an arm triangle but Kimura is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Kimura's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Johannsen gets to mount! Kimura was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Kimura is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Johannsen working away from the top, dropping strikes. Johannsen controlling the pace for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johannsen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kimura is looking to escape. Johannsen controlling the pace for now. Kimura is desperately trying to improve his position but Johannsen has a good base and remains in mount. Johannsen raining down shots from the mount! Johannsen trying to control but he's not successful this time. Kenshi Kimura has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johannsen lands a heavy elbow. Kimura is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Johannsen is looking to stand but Kimura has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Kimura wants to hold on but Johannsen pushes him away. Kimura is trying to escape the mount.
Johannsen lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kimura hang on? Johannsen sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johannsen with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Kimura is trying desperately to improve position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Johannsen blocks Kimura's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Demarco Johannsen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Johannsen winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
