Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Great Tiger (ranked 888 p4p, 98 weight class) and Altansarnai Shinjo (ranked 3492 p4p, 274 weight class). Shinjo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by DJ KATCH - The Horns. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Altansarnai Shinjo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Altansarnai Shinjo!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tiger tries to move into range but Shinjo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like Great Tiger has been cut.
A telegraphed right hand from Shinjo misses the target.
Shinjo throws a right and a left that Tiger avoids nicely.
Shinjo misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Tiger counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Shinjo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Tiger blocks the body kick.
Tiger is looking to slow Shinjo down with leg kicks.
Shinjo closes the distance looking to clinch
and Tiger counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Shinjo feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tigers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Shinjo misses with a shot to the body

Shinjo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tiger manages to avoid it.
Tiger scores with a nice right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Shinjo takes a swing at Tiger's ribcage but misses.
Tiger scores with a nice strike.
Shinjo instigates a clinch.
Tiger lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Shinjo doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Tiger stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Tiger gets through Shinjo's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Shinjo.
Shinjo throws a punch but it's blocked by Tiger.
Tiger has a couple of punches blocked by Shinjo.
Tiger tries for a takedown but Shinjo manages to get underhooks.
Tiger tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Shinjo manages to break the clinch.
Shinjo moves away from the strike by Tiger.
Shinjo throws an overhand right that lands on Tiger's shoulder, as Tiger tries to avoid the shot.
A big right from Shinjo misses.
Tiger definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Shinjo throws a body shot but no joy.
Tiger appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Shinjo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tiger manages to avoid it.
Shinjo throws a hook but Tiger blocks it.
Tiger lands a nice looking kick to the body. Shinjo takes a step back to recover.
Tiger connects with a crisp jab.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Tiger.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shinjo is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Tiger is controlling him well.
Shinjo throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shinjo wants to control but Tiger postures up.
Shinjo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tiger wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Shinjo sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Shinjo tries to roll over but Tiger keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tiger perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Tiger prevents Shinjo from standing back up.
Tiger seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Shinjo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Shinjo is defending against the submission attempts here by Tiger.
Shinjo missing with punches from the bottom.

Shinjo flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Tiger is trying to work for a kimura but Shinjo is defending well.
Tiger wants to work for an arm triangle but Shinjo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Tiger is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Shinjo is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Great Tiger!
Great Tiger decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
