Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bram De Jong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Allen Kenneth! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Kenneth. De Jong does a little dance to reset his feet. Kenneth tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. De Jong has closed the distance and engaged Kenneth in a clinch.
De Jong manages to break the clinch.
De Jong wants to clinch. De Jong looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kenneth is fending him off so far but De Jong persists. Nope, Kenneth circles away and we're back to standing. De Jong's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and De Jong duly obliges. Kenneth has managed to clinch.
Kenneth is looking to control De Jong's arms but De Jong gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kenneth has his back to the cage. Kenneth is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but De Jong is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kenneth jumps guard but De Jong turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. A frustrated look appears on De Jong's face as he tries to break the clinch. De Jong is working for takedown but Kenneth is calmly controlling the position for now. De Jong looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bram De Jong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kenneth prevents a takedown attempt there.
De Jong wants a takedown but no success here.
Kenneth tries to score a body lock takedown but De Jong shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Kenneth struggles to land a body shot inside as De Jong controls his hands.
Kenneth looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. De Jong just leaning against Kenneth, taking a breather. De Jong lands a body punch in the clinch. Kenneth jumps into guard, dragging De Jong to the mat.
De Jong in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. De Jong is posturing up here but Kenneth has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! De Jong tries to roll out but it's too tight and De Jong has to tap! Slick submission there by Kenneth!
