Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Raul Salvatierra (ranked 1906 p4p, 216 weight class) and Tony Clifton (ranked 2397 p4p, 265 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raul Salvatierra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Clifton! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Anthony Taglia and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clifton throws a looping overhand right but Salvatierra ducks down to avoid it. Salvatierra ducks right into an uppercut from Clifton.
It looks like Raul Salvatierra has been cut. Clifton throws a wild body kick that Salvatierra sees coming a mile off. Clifton throws a leg kick that is checked and Salvatierra counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Clifton throws a sloppy head kick and Salvatierra moves out of range easily. Clifton jabs Salvatierra to the body, keeping him at a distance. Clifton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Clifton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
It looked like Salvatierra wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Clifton misses with a straight right. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clifton throws a head kick that Salvatierra semi-blocks.
Salvatierra defending well as Clifton loads up on a big left hand. Clifton thows a leg kick but Salvatierra checks it and Salvatierra counters with a good low kick that Clifton was not able to check. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Clifton throws a body kick that misses and Salvatierra counters with a stiff right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clifton moves away from the strike by Salvatierra. A cross from Salvatierra lands. Salvatierra just misses with a punch to the body.
Salvatierra moves out of range as Clifton strikes. Clifton tries to land a body kick and Salvatierra counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Salvatierra staying out of range there. Salvatierra is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. A lazy body kick from Clifton and Salvatierra counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Tony Clifton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Salvatierra is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Clifton misses with a head kick.

Clifton throws out a token jab with nothing on it. And Salvatierra counters with a quick kick to the body but Clifton blocks it. Clifton throws a half hearted mid kick. Clifton scores with a push kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clifton changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Clifton digs a good body shot into Salvatierra's ribs. Salvatierra blocks a head kick by Clifton.
Clifton swings and misses with a shot to the body and Salvatierra counters with a nice uppercut. Clifton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Salvatierra moves away. Salvatierra throwing a counter right hand but Clifton manages to avoid it. Salvatierra takes one to the side of the head.

Clifton takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Clifton misses with a lunging right hand
and Salvatierra cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Clifton connects with a solid leg kick. Clifton throws a right hand that misses
and Salvatierra counters with a nice low kick that buckles Clifton's knee momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvatierra works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Clifton misses with a few strikes there.
Clifton swings and misses with a shot to the body and Salvatierra counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Clifton throws a good cross that connects.
A head kick misses from Clifton. Salvatierra lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Salvatierra cracks Clifton with an open hand slap. Clifton swings for the body but Salvatierra moves out of range.
Salvatierra throwing a counter right hand but Clifton manages to avoid it. Clifton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Salvatierra manages to avoid it. It looked like Salvatierra was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Clifton. Salvatierra checks a low kick from Clifton. Clifton throws a body kick that misses and Salvatierra cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Salvatierra moves out of range of the strikes. A counter left hand to the body from Salvatierra misses its target. Clifton misses with an uppercut
and Salvatierra counters with a nice body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Clifton swings and misses with a shot to the body and Salvatierra counters with a crisp right that sends Clifton to the canvas! Salvatierra follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
