Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Because I Can (ranked 1497 p4p, 147 weight class) and Carl Kingston (ranked 996 p4p, 104 weight class). Kingston is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Creep - Radiohead . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 29 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Because I Can! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Kingston! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kingston ducks down and throws a hook to the body but I Can moves away. Kingston dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kingston throws a half hearted mid kick. Kingston has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as I Can is landing a low percentage of strikes. I Can keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
I Can has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Kingston. A jab from Kingston does it's job there. I Can swings for the body but Kingston moves out of range.
I Can decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. I Can passes to full mount! I Can tries to control but Kingston wriggling away. This has been an exciting period of action! I Can thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
That's one minute gone in the round. Kingston blocking the ground and pound. Kingston is looking to get to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. I Can avoids the attempt from Kingston to control. I Can tries to control but Kingston wriggling away. I Can has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. I Can moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Kingston has worked his arm free - good work by Kingston!
Kingston is trying to control I Can's posture but I Can avoids it. I Can trying to control the position but Kingston is working away. I Can looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. I Can looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Kingston is not content to let I Can control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kingston prevents I Can from moving into mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kingston struggling a bit here.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. I Can shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kingston as he jumps to the side. A countering left hand to the body from Kingston misses. Kingston throws a nice head kick!
I Can fails with a takedown attempt. I Can darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. I Can wants to pass the guard but Kingston is defending well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kingston wants to control but I Can is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Because I Can will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Kingston misses with a body shot
and I Can counters with a left and a right that stings Kingston. I Can keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
I Can checks a low kick from Kingston. I Can shoots in for a takedown but Kingston shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. I Can scores with a hook to the body. Kingston takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Kingston pushes I Can away with a front kick. Kingston lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Kingston ducks down and throws a hook to the body but I Can moves away. I Can tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kingston sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten I Can somewhat. Kingston tries to counter with a clinch but I Can shakes him off and moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. I Can throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kingston replies with a solid counter kick to the body but I Can blocks it well. Kingston scores with a kick to the body.
A combination from Kingston does no damage. A shot to the body from Kingston misses and I Can counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. I Can showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kingston.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kingston. Kingston misses with a body kick. Kingston uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by I Can.
Kingston steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from I Can. I Can shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kingston as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Because I Can. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck with that takedown attempt from I Can. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kingston gets a clinch. Kingston blocks a punch to the side of the head.
I Can blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Kingston presses I Can against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Kingston lands with a light punch inside.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A quick uppercut on the inside from Kingston. Kingston misses with the head strike.
I Can drags the fight down to the ground.
Kingston decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Kingston throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
I Can is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Kingston just misses with a punch to the body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! I Can tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kingston defends well and I Can ends up having to push Kingston into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. I Can shoots in but no luck this time. I Can is looking to wear down Kingston with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kingston, right into the meat.
Kingston uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from I Can. Kingston thumps I Can with a low kick. Kingston fakes high and swings low for a body shot but I Can manages to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kingston lands with a nice body kick. I Can shoots for a takedown but Kingston saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kingston keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Some bone on bone action there as I Can checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Kingston moves into the clinch. Kingston throws a punch but it's blocked by I Can. Kingston stops a takedown attempt from I Can.

I Can tries to pull guard but Kingston holds him up against the cage and eventually I Can drops back down to his feet.
I Can wants to take the fight to the mat but Kingston manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Kingston has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kingston has a couple of punches blocked by I Can.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kingston tries a body shot but I Can blocks it.

Carl Kingston showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
I Can closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kingston did well to prevent I Can getting side control. Kingston makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Kingston lands with a nice body punch. Kingston lands a body shot.

I Can shoots in but no luck this time. I Can fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. I Can throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kingston's waist but Kingston gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing I Can off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Because I Can. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kingston throws a sloppy head kick and I Can moves out of range easily. I Can takes a jab right on the kisser.

Kingston throws a lazy right hand but I Can sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kingston stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. I Can looks for a takedown but Kingston sprawls well. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kingston scores with a slapping inside leg kick. I Can misses with a takedown attempt - Kingston sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kingston clinches.

Kingston lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. A short right from Kingston on the inside.
