Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Leroux (ranked 6086 p4p, 508 weight class) and Ricardo Rebenta (ranked 5673 p4p, 493 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Leroux! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricardo Rebenta! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rebenta shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Leroux pinned against the cage. Leroux gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Rebenta bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Rebenta fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Leroux sprawls well initially but Rebenta persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Leroux is trying to control but can't.
Rebenta trying to pass the guard but Leroux defending well. Rebenta is trying to control the action in half guard but Leroux is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Rebenta throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Leroux is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Leroux moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Rebenta wants to control from the top but Leroux keeps moving. Rebenta lands a couple of digs. Rebenta is looking to work some ground and pound but Leroux has wrist control. Leroux working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rebenta doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rebenta manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Leroux is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leroux keeping moving, preventing Rebenta from controlling successfully. Rebenta landing with the ground and pound. Rebenta stands up over Leroux, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rebenta postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Rebenta lands a couple of digs. Leroux keeping moving, preventing Rebenta from controlling successfully. Rebenta won't allow Leroux to sweep him here. Rebenta has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rebenta advances to half guard. Leroux trying to hold on to Rebenta's head to control him but Rebenta postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Leroux works his way to full guard. Good work. Leroux isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rebenta stacks Leroux on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rebenta! Rebenta working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Leroux dodges the ground and pound from Rebenta. Leroux is looking to reverse the position. Rebenta tries for a kimura but Leroux is defending well. Rebenta lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Leroux down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rebenta in side control, throwing shots but Leroux defends. Rebenta tries to move to mount but Leroux blocks the move with his legs. Leroux regains half guard. Rebenta prevents Leroux from improving his position. Rebenta is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Leroux is just riding it out for now. Rebenta eventually gives up the hold. Rebenta wants to take a breather but Leroux is having none of it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rebenta moves nicely into side control. Rebenta landing strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricardo Rebenta dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rebenta moves out of range of the strikes. Leroux misses with a looping left. Leroux drives through with a takedown into guard. Rebenta is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rebenta is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Leroux is looking to improve his position.

Rebenta thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Ricardo Rebenta has got the better of the ground game so far. Leroux struggling a bit here. Leroux is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Rebenta is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Leroux defends it well. Leroux looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Leroux controlling the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rebenta prevents Leroux from improving his position. Rebenta is controlling the pace.
Rebenta lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Rebenta is pressing down on Leroux's thigh, looking to free his foot. Leroux is holding on for now. Rebenta is nestled in close to Leroux, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rebenta is keen to just control but Leroux is a slippery customer. Leroux looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Rebenta seems to be working for a kimura but Leroux defends the submission attempt. Rebenta working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Rebenta is working for an americana but Leroux has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Rebenta was thinking about the submission. Rebenta sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Leroux's guard. Leroux gets back to full guard.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rebenta is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Leroux wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricardo Rebenta showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Leroux defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rebenta. Leroux changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Leroux gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rebenta to score an easy takedown into full guard. Rebenta pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Leroux is keeping the position for now. Leroux trying to keep a closed guard but Rebenta is proving a slippery customer.
Rebenta postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Leroux has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Rebenta should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Leroux has tightened it up now! Rebenta should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Johnny Leroux! Johnny Leroux decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
