The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kostic throws a poor cross that misses
and Malia counters with a straight right hand.

Kostic is looking to clinch.
Malia works the jab nicely.
Kostic is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Malia.
Stojan Kostic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kostic drives through and clinches with Malia against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kostic wants to sweep but no luck.

Kostic is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Malia defends well.
Kostic can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Malia controls the pace.
Malia has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Malia has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kostic to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Malia is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kostic pulls down on the head and he's put Malia to sleep! This one is all over!
