Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Green Cross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Taiga Toriyama!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Toriyama but Toriyama pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cross moves into the clinch successfully.
Toriyama breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Toriyama swats away the attempt to clinch by Cross.
A jab from Toriyama does it's job there.
Toriyama gets a clinch.
Toriyama pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Toriyama lands a head shot.
Toriyama paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Cross misses with a takedown attempt
and Toriyama counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Toriyama moves into range and clinches up with Cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Toriyama breaks from the clinch.
Cross is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Toriyama clinches up with Cross and pushes him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Toriyama breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cross fails with an attempt to clinch.

Despite the aggression on Toriyama's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Cross tries to clinch up but Toriyama circles away and keeps his distance.
Cross tries to close the distance and clinch but Toriyama swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Toriyama appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Cross tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Toriyama swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Green Cross. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Toriyama avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Toriyama drops Cross with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Cross looks back up at him and smiles so Toriyama waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Cross is rocked!
It looks like Green Cross has been cut.
Toriyama seems to be stalking Cross here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastating head kick! Cross drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Taiga Toriyama!
An out of breath Taiga Toriyama thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
