Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chinggis Khaan (ranked 1771 p4p, 269 weight class) and Johnny Lydon (ranked 3228 p4p, 422 weight class). Johnny Lydon has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Chinggis Khaan's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lydon takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Khaan fails with a takedown attempt.

Lydon moves into the clinch.

A right hook to the body lands for Khaan.
Lydon looks winded!
Khaan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lydon pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Khaan wants the takedown. Lydon is fighting it off but Khaan persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lydon's guard against the cage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Khaan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lydon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lydon has momentary wrist control but Khaan slips an elbow through the middle.

Khaan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lydon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Khaan is working Lydon over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Lydon is still in real trouble! Can Khaan finish him?
Khaan is looking to work some ground and pound but Lydon has wrist control.

A less than humble Chinggis Khaan misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
