Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Napoleon throws a shot from downtown. Hoyce moves away and avoids it.
Hoyce defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Napoleon.
A little jabbing left from Hoyce on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Hoyce throws a hook to the side of Napoleon's head but Napoleon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Napoleon loads up on a big right hand but Hoyce slips the punch.

Napoleon walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hoyce checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Hoyce feints a jab promting Napoleon to slip. Hoyce then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Napoleon slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Hoyce's coach down at Jed's Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hoyce's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

A looping hook to the body misses from Napoleon. Hoyce does a little dance to reset his feet.
Buster Napoleon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Napoleon closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hoyce to the mat! Hoyce manages to get full guard.

Hoyce lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Napoleon circles away quickly and effectively.

Napoleon throws a nice looking combination but Hoyce bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Napoleon dives in for a single leg takedown but Hoyce sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hoyce! But no joy.

The fighters circle momentarily. Napoleon darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Napoleon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That was a close round but I would say that Buster Napoleon will probably get the nod.

Napoleon was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Hoyce might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Napoleon engages and cracks Hoyce with a massive lead left hook - Hoyce tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Napoleon is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
