Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Average (ranked 1727 p4p, 246 weight class) and Pacer Dalton (ranked 1698 p4p, 240 weight class). The key to victory for Joe Average has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joe Average! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pacer Dalton! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dalton shoots and misses and Average counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Dalton misses with a takedown enabling Average to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Pacer Dalton has been cut. Nice takedown defense from Average. No joy for Dalton on that attempt. Joe Average has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pacer Dalton. Dalton shoots in but no luck this time. Dalton slips a jab and a cross from Average.
Dalton misses with a takedown and Average counters with a lovely straight right hand! Average scores with the left hand. Dalton knows he should have avoided that one. Dalton moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Average comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Dalton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dalton takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dalton with a poor takedown and Average counters with a left to the body. Dalton fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Average moves into range and clinches up with Dalton. Dalton tries to score a body lock takedown but Average shows good agility there to stay on his feet. A right handed body shot lands from Average.

Dalton has Average pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Average manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Average escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dalton has his takedown stuffed and Dalton takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Dalton looks winded! Average takes the fight into the clinch. Dalton is trying to drag Average to the mat but Average just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Dalton has Average pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Average manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's two minutes gone in the round. Average has clasped his hands together around Dalton's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Average trying to control the position but Dalton is working away. Dalton felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Average decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dalton to his feet. Average lands a left and a right that sends Dalton crashing to the canvas! Average dives into mount looking to finish! Dalton is trying to escape the mount.
Dalton wants to control but Average is having none of it. Dalton is looking to improve his position but Average isn't that keen on the idea. Average get's back to his feet. Dalton doesn't succeed with the takedown and Average counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That has opened up Pacer Dalton's cut even more. Average shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Dalton is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dalton keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Average tries to stand and escape but Dalton is controlling the position. Average missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Dalton wants to get back to full guard. Average wants to pass to mount but Dalton is defending the position. Average is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Average is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Dalton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Dalton slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Dalton keeping moving, preventing Average from controlling successfully. Dalton is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Average tries to stand but Dalton is controlling from the bottom. Dalton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dalton is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Dalton wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Average dominated that round. The cut man is working on Pacer Dalton's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Dalton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Average tries to clinch but Dalton is having none of it. Average lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Dalton closes this distance looking for a takedown but Average circles away. Average went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Dalton fails to land the takedown. Joe Average has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pacer Dalton. Dalton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Average counters with a crisp right that sends Dalton to the canvas! Average follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Average! Our winner, Joe Average, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
