Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Oskar Friman (ranked 1016 p4p, 47 weight class) and Yang Xinhai (ranked 1215 p4p, 65 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Oskar Friman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Yang Xinhai! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Xinhai throws out a loose jab but Friman uses good head movement to avoid it. Friman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Xinhai manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Friman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Our spies down at at Zero Tolerance inform us that Xinhai has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Friman trying to control the position from guard on top but Xinhai is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Friman throwing strikes but missing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Friman throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Xinhai works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Friman scoring with some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Friman prevents Xinhai from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Xinhai keeping full guard, as Friman tries to pass. Friman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Friman throwing strikes but missing. Friman has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Friman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Friman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Xinhai swivels though and keeps the full guard. Xinhai avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Friman won't allow Xinhai to get back to his feet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Xinhai throws a hook but Friman blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Friman lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Friman misses with a wild body shot. Friman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Xinhai did well to prevent Friman getting side control. Friman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Friman controlling the pace. Friman with the ground and pound but Xinhai uses the opportunity to regain guard. Xinhai keeping moving, preventing Friman from controlling successfully. Friman works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Xinhai is not content to let Friman control the position. Friman looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Friman throwing shots but Xinhai is blocking nicely. Xinhai avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Friman.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Friman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Friman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Friman trying to control from half guard but Xinhai is working away. Friman is nestled in close to Xinhai, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Friman controlling the action here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Friman not landing any meaningful shots this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oskar Friman dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Friman misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Friman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Xinhai ducks under a wild hook from Friman. Friman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Xinhai defends it nicely. Xinhai throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Friman throws a body shot but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Friman ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Friman avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Friman shoots and misses and Xinhai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Friman takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Xinhai thows a left - swing and a miss! Friman feinted with a counter takedown. Oskar Friman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Friman rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Xinhai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Friman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Xinhai. Friman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Xinhai manages to avoid it. A big left from Friman misses. Nice sprawl there from Xinhai as Friman shoots in. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Xinhai! But no joy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oskar Friman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Friman pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A big left from Xinhai misses. Friman appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Xinhai takes a swing at Friman's ribcage but misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice body punch from Friman. Xinhai lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Friman circles away quickly and effectively. Friman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Xinhai goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. This has been an exciting period of action! Friman lands a slapping body shot.
Friman throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Friman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Xinhai sees it coming and avoids it easily. Xinhai looks like he wants to counter punch here. A looping hook to the body misses from Xinhai. Friman does a little dance to reset his feet. Friman scores with a punch to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Friman keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Xinhai. Friman looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Xinhai pushes Friman off and scrambles back to his feet.
Friman misses the body punch and Xinhai counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A swing and a miss from Xinhai. Friman lands a nice shot that snaps Xinhai's head back.
Xinhai scores with a nice strike. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Xinhai throws a lazy right hand but Friman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Friman missing with a left hand there. Xinhai was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Friman throws a body punch but Xinhai moves out of range. Friman throws a body shot but no joy. Xinhai getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Xinhai misses with a straight left. Friman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Xinhai but Xinhai pushes him off and we're back to square one. Xinhai walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yang Xinhai showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Friman takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Friman throws a body shot but no joy. Nice uppercut there from Friman. Friman keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Xinhai. Xinhai getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Friman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Xinhai was well out of range. Poor timing from Friman. Friman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Friman staying out of range there. Friman doesn't manage to clinch there - Xinhai circles away.
Xinhai looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Friman is looking to wear down Xinhai with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Friman misses with a shot to the body and Xinhai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A swing and a miss from Xinhai. Friman scores with a body shot.
Friman throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Xinhai on the side of the head. Friman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Xinhai.
Friman tries to clinch but Xinhai moves out of range. Yang Xinhai is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Friman misses with a wild body shot. Friman jabs at Xinhai's body. Friman throws a body shot but no joy. Xinhai looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Friman lands with a shot to the body. Friman shoots in for a double leg but Xinhai sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Xinhai uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Friman.
Xinhai might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Xinhai waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Friman. Friman takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Xinhai misses with a hook.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Friman connects with a nice looking jab.
Yang Xinhai seems to be getting the better of the standup. Xinhai avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
As Friman backs off Xinhai throws a huge counter combo but Friman manages to avoid it all. Friman misses with a body shot.
Xinhai now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Friman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Xinhai counters with a one-two to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Friman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Xinhai moves away. Xinhai takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Xinhai swings widly with a right hand
and Friman counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Xinhai! The ground and pound from Friman seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Oskar Friman showed his dominance in that final round. I think Friman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Oskar Friman! Oskar Friman opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
