Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lupe Fuentes (ranked 6038 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ke To (ranked 5310 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ke To! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! To throws a leg kick that is checked and Fuentes counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Fuentes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. To wants to stand and escape but Fuentes is having none of it. Fuentes is looking to work some ground and pound but To has wrist control. Fuentes stands up over To, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Fuentes is in close to To's body, working some short punches and elbows. To throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
To being controlled here, momentarily. Fuentes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fuentes chips away with some ground and pound. Fuentes is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fuentes throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Fuentes is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. To wants to get back to his feet but Fuentes is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Fuentes lands a couple of elbows. Fuentes sitting in guard, not really doing much. Fuentes prevents To from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Fuentes chips away with some ground and pound. Fuentes landing some decent shots from guard. Fuentes trying to control but To is working from the bottom. To is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Fuentes is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. To wants to control but Fuentes is keeping busy and won't allow it. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. To on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Fuentes content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Fuentes wants to take a breather but To is having none of it. Fuentes working the head and body with strikes. Fuentes sitting and controlling from the half guard. Fuentes seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down To for as long as he can get away with.

It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
