2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Floyd Mayweather! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mayweather misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Yamamoto.
A low kick from Mayweather misses and Yamamoto counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Mayweather has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Yamamoto off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Yamamoto throws an overhand right that lands on Mayweather's shoulder, as Mayweather tries to avoid the shot. Mayweather appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Yamamoto uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mayweather. Yamamoto tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mayweather swivels and escapes. Yamamoto looks to score with a jab to the body but Mayweather is just out of range. Yamamoto misses with a wild body shot. Mayweather throws a body shot but no joy. Yamamoto misses with a looping right. Mayweather doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Mayweather misses with a right hand and Yamamoto counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Yamamoto seems to be working for a kimura but Mayweather defends the submission attempt. Mayweather is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Yamamoto's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Yamamoto's back! Mayweather really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yamamoto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamamoto rolls, trying to escape but Mayweather keeps control of the position.
Yamamoto definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Yamamoto is working hard here to advance position. Mayweather somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Mayweather just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Yamamoto trying to control the hands but Mayweather breaks the grip. Yamamoto tries to roll but Mayweather sticks to his back.
Mayweather has good solid back control here. Mayweather is trying to stick to Yamamoto's back but Yamamoto is turning into Mayweather. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Mayweather's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Yamamoto.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mayweather trying to control the position here. Mayweather keeping moving, preventing Yamamoto from controlling successfully. Mayweather is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Mayweather looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Mayweather is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Yamamoto defends well. Mayweather is striking off his back. Yamamoto thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mayweather looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Yamamoto trying to control from half guard but Mayweather is working away. Yamamoto is working for a kimura but Mayweather is defending it quite comfortably.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Yamamoto is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Mayweather is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
