Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Coleman (ranked 1942 p4p, 280 weight class) and Trent Punchy (ranked 2513 p4p, 345 weight class). Coleman comes into the arena with I Mother Earth - Not Quite Sonic blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
32 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greg Coleman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
36 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trent Punchy! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coleman scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Punchy throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Coleman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Punchy circles away quickly and effectively. A head kick misses from Coleman. Punchy shoots in for a takedown but Coleman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Coleman avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Punchy avoids the head kick by Coleman.
Coleman moves out of range of the strikes. Punchy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Trent Punchy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Punchy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Coleman circles away quickly and effectively. Punchy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Coleman moves away. A quick step to the side and Coleman tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Punchy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Coleman moves out of range and avoids them all easily. The fighters circle momentarily. Coleman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Coleman swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Punchy makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Coleman paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Coleman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Punchy. Punchy looks to land a right hand but Coleman moved out of range. Punchy misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Punchy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Coleman. Jab from Punchy. A lazy left from Punchy finds it's target. Coleman getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Coleman throws a sloppy head kick and Punchy moves out of range easily. Good exchange - Coleman coming out on top. Punchy clobbers Coleman with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Punchy slips under a jab. Punchy throws out a counter right but Coleman avoids it with no problem. Punchy misses with a looping left. Coleman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Punchy. Punchy takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. A head kick misses from Coleman. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Punchy gets a double leg takedown into Coleman's guard. Punchy throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coleman wants to stand and escape but Punchy is having none of it. Punchy throws a big right hand that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Coleman has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Punchy has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Punchy fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Punchy drops down looking for an ankle pick but Coleman pulls his leg out and moves away.
Sloppy strikes from Coleman. Those never looked like landing. Coleman stuns Punchy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Decent striking displayed by Coleman there. Coleman lands an overhand right. Coleman takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Coleman uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Punchy. Coleman connects with a crisp jab. Punchy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Punchy attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Punchy gets a takedown into half guard. Punchy is controlling the pace.
Coleman avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Punchy. Punchy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Coleman's head. Punchy looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Coleman has one foot on Punchy's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coleman throws a left and a right that both miss
and Punchy counters with a nice body kick. Punchy gets in close and instigates a clinch. Punchy digs a right hand underneath Coleman's ribcage. Coleman let out a lung full of air as it connected. A frustrated look appears on Punchy's face as he tries to break the clinch. Coleman tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Coleman throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Coleman misses with a hook to the ribs.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Punchy digs a right hand into Coleman's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Coleman's gas tank. Punchy lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Greg Coleman will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Coleman misses with a wild body shot. Punchy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Coleman. Punchy waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Coleman. Punchy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Coleman throws a body punch but Punchy moves out of range. Punchy cracks Coleman with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Coleman just misses with a punch to the body.

Coleman throws a lazy right hand but Punchy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Punchy jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Coleman jabbing away but nothing is landing. Some wild striking there from Coleman.
Coleman tries to bum rush Punchy with a series of wild strikes but Punchy uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Punchy shoots in and drives through. Coleman sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coleman throws a low kick but Punchy avoids it. Punchy instigates a clinch. Punchy struggles to land a body shot inside as Coleman controls his hands.
Punchy blocks a body shot from Coleman. Punchy tries to throw a body punch but Coleman avoids it by throwing Punchy back against the cage. Punchy wants to break free but Coleman has control.
Punchy lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Punchy misses with a punch to the body.

Punchy doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Punchy might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Punchy avoids the head kick by Coleman.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Punchy connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Coleman momentarily.
Punchy gets the takedown into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Punchy tries for a kimura but Coleman is defending well. Coleman parries the strikes from Punchy easily there. Punchy is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Coleman to escape.
Punchy happy to just control the position for now. Punchy is looking to take a break and control but Coleman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Punchy happy to just control the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Punchy creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Punchy moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Let's hope that Punchy has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Punchy tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Coleman pushes Punchy away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Punchy gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Punchy working the strikes but Coleman uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Punchy wants to take a breather but Coleman is having none of it. Punchy scoring with strikes to the body and head. Coleman is looking to escape. Punchy content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Punchy prevents Coleman from standing back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Trent Punchy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Coleman tries to move into range but Punchy moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Punchy connects with a single shot there. This has been an exciting period of action! Punchy shoots in looking for a takedown but Coleman manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Punchy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Greg Coleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trent Punchy. Coleman jabbing away but nothing is landing. Coleman throws a head kick that Punchy semi-blocks.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Coleman is not content to let Punchy control the position. Punchy working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Coleman dodges the ground and pound from Punchy. Punchy grinds an elbow into Coleman's temple. Punchy lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Punchy trying to control the position but Coleman is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Punchy laying and praying for a moment but Coleman takes advantage and regains half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Punchy connects with a nice short shot to Coleman's temple. Punchy thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Coleman is not content to let Punchy control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Trent Punchy. I think Punchy has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
