Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hamish McTavish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Justin Biggs! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Biggs slaps away a takedown attempt from McTavish, before circling back to the center of the mat. Biggs checks a low kick from McTavish. McTavish shoots in looking for a takedown. Biggs tries to sprawl out of it but McTavish keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Biggs manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. McTavish misses with a right hand and Biggs counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. McTavish misses with a leg kick. Biggs is looking for the big counter here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McTavish moves out of range as Biggs strikes. Justin Biggs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Biggs connects with a solid leg kick. McTavish shoots in for a takedown but Biggs shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hamish McTavish. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McTavish uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Biggs. McTavish takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Biggs scores with a leg kick.
McTavish cracks the inside of Biggs's front leg. Biggs misses with a looping right. McTavish tries to counter with a takedown but Biggs is quick to defend against it. McTavish fails with the takedown and Biggs counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. McTavish shoots in for a double leg but Biggs sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Biggs throws a series of punches but McTavish avoids them all with ease.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McTavish shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Biggs throws a body punch but McTavish moves out of range. Biggs has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far. Nice uppercut there from McTavish. Biggs lands a really nice looking cross but McTavish seems unphased.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Biggs fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Biggs scores with a hook to the body. McTavish takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Sloppy strikes from Biggs. Those never looked like landing. McTavish takes a shot right to the bread basket. Biggs lands a body shot.
Nice straight punches there by Biggs. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Biggs.

McTavish shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Biggs is trying to defend but McTavish finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Biggs is trying to stand up here but McTavish is controlling him well. Biggs keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. McTavish working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Biggs's thigh. Biggs counters though and makes it back to full guard. McTavish connects with a couple of short punches. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McTavish accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Biggs preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McTavish throws a strike but Biggs rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
McTavish has his foot on Biggs's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Biggs works his way back into a safe position though. McTavish wants to hit a switch here but Biggs passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for McTavish there! McTavish manages to regain half guard. Good work. McTavish looking for submissions from an awkward position here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McTavish is trying to get back to full guard. Biggs wants to free his trapped foot but McTavish is holding on for dear life with his legs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Biggs misses with a looping right. McTavish slips a jab from Biggs. Biggs connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Biggs misses with a hook. Biggs swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. A shot to the body from McTavish misses and Biggs counters with a lovely straight right hand! Biggs gets caught flat footed, as McTavish shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Biggs pushes McTavish off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. McTavish looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. McTavish misses with a low kick.
Biggs connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed McTavish momentarily.
Biggs with a nice cross. Biggs feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to McTavish's calf. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Biggs keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
McTavish walks into a stiff left hand from Biggs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McTavish steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Biggs. Biggs looks to land a combination but McTavish avoids it well. Biggs tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and McTavish is able to avoid easily. McTavish fails with the takedown. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Biggs. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. McTavish chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Biggs can pounce on him.
A slow jab from Biggs misses its intended target. A jab from Biggs misses. Biggs ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Biggs has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Biggs looks to land a left hand but McTavish moved out of range nicely. McTavish half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Biggs throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Justin Biggs is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McTavish shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Biggs but Biggs pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hamish McTavish. That's going to take a lot out of him. Biggs misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McTavish.
McTavish decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nice strikes from McTavish there. Biggs avoiding damage under a succession of punches from McTavish. McTavish missing with the ground and pound from half guard. McTavish is stalling here. Biggs is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! McTavish seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Biggs has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

and Biggs counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Justin Biggs seems to be getting the better of the standup. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Biggs moves into range and connects with a jab. Biggs cracks McTavish with a good jab. Biggs lands a right hook to the body.
McTavish fails with the takedown and Biggs connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. McTavish slips under a jab. McTavish pivots, looking for a leg kick but Biggs is out of range and McTavish settles back down. Biggs throws out a counter right but McTavish avoids it with no problem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justin Biggs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Nice takedown defense from Biggs. No joy for McTavish on that attempt. McTavish takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. McTavish is rocked! Biggs flashes McTavish a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. McTavish's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. McTavish crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Biggs punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
