Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson moves in looking to clinch but Chavez pushes him off.
Chavez tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Jackson counters with a straight right hand.
Chavez shoots in for a double leg but Jackson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson clinches up against the cage.
Chavez tries to pull guard but Jackson won't allow it.

A nice left hand lands by Jackson.
Jackson scores with a shot to the side of Chavez's head.
Chavez is trying to maintain a safe position but Jackson gets an underhook and turns Chavez into the cage.
Chavez wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jackson has him pressed against the cage.
Chavez ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Chavez no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chavez on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Chavez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jackson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Chavez has his feet on Jackson's thighs here. He's pushed Jackson off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Jackson screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
