Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Gok Dok (ranked 5554 p4p, 579 weight class) and Ryu Kushin (ranked 5394 p4p, 566 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ryu Kushin!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dok misses with the combination.
Kushin throws a head kick but Dok moves out of range.
Dok circles away from the clinch attempt
and Dok counters with a one-two to the body.
Dok bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Dok moves out of range of the body kick.
Dok is looking for a counter combo.
Kushin slips a jab and a cross from Dok.
Kushin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dok.
Dok fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kushin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Dok throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kushin.
Dok avoids the head kick by Kushin.
Kushin fails with an attempt to clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dok just misses with a punch to the body.
Dok thumps Kushin with a low kick.

Kushin closes the distance looking to clinch
and Dok counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Kushin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Dok paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Dok avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kushin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kushin misses with a hook to the body
and Dok counters with a nice uppercut.
Dok misses with a wild combination.
Dok moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromKushin.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dok swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Kushin clinches up with Dok and pushes him back against the ropes.
Kushin tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Kushin keeps control of Dok as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Kushin is trying to maintain a safe position but Dok gets an underhook and turns Kushin into the ropes.
Kushin throws a knee to the head but misses.
Kushin wants to stall.

Dok breaks from the clinch.
Ryu Kushin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kushin tries to clinch
and Dok counters with a slapping leg kick.
Dok stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kushin.
Kushin tries to close the distance and clinch but Dok swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dok bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kushin doesn't manage to clinch there - Dok circles away.
Kushin throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Gok Dok has been cut.
Dok lands a lovely overhand right.
Dok keeps the fight on the outside.
Dok misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dok will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kushin throws out a head kick that Dok doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Dok crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Dok's eyes and has decided to let it go on!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dok drops his hands momentarily and Kushin needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Dok just on the top of the head. Dok drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Dok - he's done!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ryu Kushin!
