Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Earl (ranked 6853 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alves Coco (ranked 5349 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Earl! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alves Coco! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coco looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Earl is fending him off so far but Coco persists. Nope, Earl circles away and we're back to standing. Earl throws a right hand that misses
and Coco counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Coco wants to control from the top but Earl keeps moving. Coco is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Coco sitting in guard, not really doing much. Coco trying to control the position from guard on top but Earl is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coco is looking to work some ground and pound but Earl has wrist control. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Earl holds on and takes a little breather. Coco trying to control the position from guard on top but Earl is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Earl throws the left hand but Coco avoids the punch easily. Nice defenses there by Coco. Earl closes the distance and clinches. Earl stops a takedown attempt from Coco.
Earl's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Coco tries to pull guard but Earl won't allow it.
John Earl has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alves Coco. Coco breaks from the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coco misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Earl tests Coco's chin there with a solid looking shot. Coco moves to clinch but Earl breaks away and Earl counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. A big left from Earl misses. John Earl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Coco fails with the takedown. Earl misses with a looping left. Coco shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Earl pinned against the cage. Earl gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Earl throws a hook but Coco avoids it easily. Coco shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Earl as he jumps to the side.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A jab from Earl misses. Coco shoots in looking for a takedown but Earl manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Coco's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Coco tries to close the distance and clinch but Earl swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Coco tries to sprawl but Earl drives through with a takedown into half guard. Earl is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Coco is just riding it out for now. Earl eventually gives up the hold. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Coco wants to control but Earl is keeping busy.
Coco moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Earl is in close to Coco's body, working some short punches and elbows. Coco wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Earl is now in half guard. Earl sitting and controlling from the half guard. Coco trying to control here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Earl is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Coco tries to get to full guard but Earl has control of the leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Earl dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A combination from Coco does no damage. It looked like Earl wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Coco feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Coco sitting in guard here, content to control. Earl is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Earl is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Earl is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Coco can do to turn this around? Coco working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Earl is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round. Coco postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Coco looking to pass the guard. Coco showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Earl clinches up against the cage. Coco is trying to break the clinch but Earl has him pressed against the cage. Earl tightens his grip and picks Coco up, before dumping him to the ground. Coco manages to land in guard. Coco looking to control but Earl passes into half guard.
Coco wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coco trying to hold on to Earl's head to control him but Earl postures up.
Coco is looking for a sweep. Earl is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Earl stalling. Coco is trying to control but can't.
Earl is keen to just control but Coco is a slippery customer. Coco has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Earl is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Earl in particular looking to stall. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Earl shoots for a takedown but Coco saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Coco jabs at Earl's body. Coco ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Earl moves away. Earl is looking to counter punch. Earl gets a clinch. Earl tightens his grip and picks Coco up, before dumping him to the ground. Coco manages to land in guard. Coco escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Earl gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Coco is trying to keep Earl in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Earl cracks Coco with a solid left hand. Earl sitting in guard here, content to control. Earl preventing the sweep. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Earl slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Coco has his foot on Earl's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Earl works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that John Earl will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Decent striking displayed by Earl there. Coco shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Earl sprawls well. Earl wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Coco gets slowly back to his feet. Earl clinches with his opponent.

Earl is defending well against a takedown attempt. John Earl has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alves Coco. Coco blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Coco taking a breather. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Coco's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Earl bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Earl throws a jab but it's blocked by Coco. Coco shoots in for a double leg but Earl sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. John Earl is winning the standup battle so far. Coco uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Earl.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coco moves in looking to clinch but Earl pushes him off. Earl just misses with a punch to the body.
Earl thows a left - swing and a miss! Coco raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Horrible takedown attempt by Earl or perhaps it was just good defense by Coco, which made it look bad. Coco gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Earl to score an easy takedown into full guard. Coco is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Earl won't allow Coco to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Earl postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Coco is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Earl, into his guard. Coco loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Coco trying to control the position from guard on top but Earl is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Earl looking to hit a scissor sweep but Coco is one step ahead there. Coco tries to free his leg and advance position but Earl is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Earl wants to control but Coco passes easily into half guard.
Coco is working for an americana but Earl has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Coco was thinking about the submission. Earl looking to control but Coco passes into half guard.
John Earl is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Earl is trying to get back to full guard. Coco wants to control but Earl is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Earl is looking to control Coco's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Earl avoid being mounted? Coco is looking for a kimura but Earl is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Coco to get the leverage. Earl gets back to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight! John Earl showed his dominance in that final round. Well Earl has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
