Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Willian Atkinson (ranked 7992 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimbob McGee (ranked 25307 p4p, 0 weight class). McGee has chosen AC/DC Thunderstruck as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Willian Atkinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Jimbob McGee! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Atkinson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McGee. A little feinted left hand from Atkinson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Atkinson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Atkinson fails with a takedown attempt. McGee is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Atkinson misses with a head kick.
McGee gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Atkinson to score an easy takedown into full guard. McGee scrambles and gets back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McGee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Atkinson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Atkinson is looking to counter with head kicks. Atkinson has managed to clinch.
McGee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's one minute gone in the round. Atkinson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! McGee struggling a bit here. Atkinson working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Atkinson wants to control but McGee is keeping him busy. McGee is looking to regain half guard here but Atkinson keeps moving and retains side control. Atkinson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McGee is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Atkinson stands up and beckons McGee to his feet. Atkinson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McGee blocking the ground and pound attempt from Atkinson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Atkinson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
It looks like Atkinson is going to stand back up.
Atkinson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Atkinson decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. McGee misses with a head kick.
This has been an exciting period of action! McGee dives in and grabs Atkinson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Atkinson pushes down on McGee's head and hops out. An attempted straight right counter from Atkinson misses the target. McGee looks for a takedown but Atkinson sprawls well. Willian Atkinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimbob McGee.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Atkinson moves into the clinch. McGee prevents a takedown attempt there.

Atkinson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McGee is just riding it out for now. Atkinson eventually gives up the hold. McGee tries to kick Atkinson off but Atkinson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Atkinson decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Atkinson throws a body kick, spinning off balance and McGee counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Atkinson! Atkinson is breathing heavily. McGee is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Atkinson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. McGee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Atkinson keeps working. Atkinson struggling a bit here. McGee looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Atkinson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Willian Atkinson will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Atkinson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McGee, pushing him back against the cage. Atkinson is trying to trip McGee. He has hold of a leg but McGee is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Atkinson persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Willian Atkinson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. McGee keeping moving, preventing Atkinson from controlling successfully. Atkinson works a leg free and moves into half guard. McGee manages to escape and get back to his feet! Atkinson moves out of range of the body kick. Atkinson is looking for a counter combo. Atkinson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Atkinson pulls guard. McGee trying to control the position from guard on top but Atkinson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McGee being controlled here momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGee wants to pass the guard but Atkinson is keeping the position. McGee prevents Atkinson from getting back to his feet. Atkinson pulls McGee in close to his closed guard and prevents McGee from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Atkinson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Atkinson tries for a takedown but McGee sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Atkinson gets caught napping as McGee dives in and scores a takedown. Atkinson manages to retain guard. Atkinson is wriggling around but McGee manages to pass to half guard.
Atkinson wants to get back to full guard but McGee has mounted him! Atkinson doing his best to control the position. Can he escape? Atkinson tries to hold on but McGee postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGee prevents Atkinson from getting the reversal. McGee lands a big shot there that rocks Atkinson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Atkinson is trying to stand. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McGee controlling his opponent. McGee lands a heavy elbow. Atkinson can't escape the position.
McGee thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Atkinson is trying desperately to improve position. McGee jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Atkinson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Atkinson and McGee has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Atkinson is trying to control McGee's posture but McGee avoids it. McGee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Atkinson keeps working. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Atkinson can't do much from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimbob McGee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
McGee closes the distance and clinches. Atkinson working hard to break the clinch. McGee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. McGee goes for a double leg but Atkinson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Atkinson continues to drive forward. McGee just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromAtkinson. Atkinson tries to clinch there but McGee circles away.

Willian Atkinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimbob McGee. McGee shoots in but Atkinson avoids the takedown attempt easily. McGee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Atkinson shoots in for a takedown but McGee shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Atkinson has McGee up against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Atkinson tries to pull guard but McGee forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Atkinson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. McGee is defending well for now. Atkinson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. McGee tries to clinch up but Atkinson circles away and keeps his distance. McGee fails with the takedown. Atkinson blocks a head kick by McGee.
Atkinson looks to land a body kick but McGee moved away. McGee gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Atkinson counter with a right hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Atkinson looks for a takedown but McGee sprawls well. Atkinson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Atkinson seems to be working for a kimura but McGee defends the submission attempt. Atkinson gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Atkinson dodges the punch combination from McGee.
Atkinson tries to counter by moving into the clinch but McGee manages to circle out of the way. McGee with a lazy takedown attempt and Atkinson counters with a series of strikes. McGee will be more careful next time no doubt.

Atkinson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McGee's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Atkinson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McGee, up you get! Atkinson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Atkinson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McGee to the ground. Atkinson is now in McGee's guard. Atkinson stands and steps away. McGee gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. McGee gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Atkinson to counter with a crisp jab. McGee wants to clinch. Atkinson went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
And that's the end of the fight! Willian Atkinson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Atkinson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
