Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Landon Rogers (ranked 7725 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Potter (ranked 5637 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Landon Rogers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harry Potter! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potter has taken the fight to the clinch.
Potter's coach down at Westside Martial Arts was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Potter's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Rogers is trying to break the clinch but Potter is controlling him. Rogers is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Potter can't fight it off and eventually Rogers manages to take the fight to the floor. Potter looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rogers working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Potter is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Potter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rogers. Rogers stopping the sweep attempt from Potter. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rogers wants to stand and escape but instead Potter has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rogers is on top in guard.
Rogers keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Potter's head.

Rogers scoring with punches to the head and body. Rogers with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Rogers works over Potter with some ground and pound from guard. Potter is trying to control the position but Rogers postures up. Potter wants to sweep here but Rogers controlling him for the moment. Potter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Rogers looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Potter puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Rogers works his way to full guard. Good work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Rogers working for a triangle but Potter defends it easily.
Potter lands a couple of elbows. Rogers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Potter tries to free his leg and advance position but Rogers is retaining full guard. Potter wants to control from the top but Rogers keeps moving. Rogers looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rogers is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Potter is aware though and is defending well. Rogers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Potter working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Potter trying to control the position from guard on top but Rogers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Potter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rogers tries to land a sweep but no joy. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Potter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rogers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Potter is working for a kimura but Rogers is defending it quite comfortably.
Rogers wants to get back to full guard. Potter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rogers keeps working. Rogers is looking to improve his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Potter wants to control but Rogers is keeping him busy.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Potter looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Rogers pushes Potter off but Potter dives into side control.

Potter is trying to trip Rogers. He has hold of a leg but Rogers is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Potter persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Rogers looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rogers is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Rogers is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Potter wants to get back to full guard. Potter keeping control of the position. Rogers will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Potter wants to improve his position but Rogers is controlling well.

That was a close second round but I would say that Landon Rogers will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Rogers passes into half guard. Rogers is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Rogers not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Potter avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Rogers. Potter preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Potter scoring well with a low kick there.
Harry Potter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rogers gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Potter to score an easy takedown into full guard. Potter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rogers swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Harry Potter. I think Potter has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
