Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Du Mahss (ranked 23285 p4p, 219 weight class) and Sven Eklund (ranked 4377 p4p, 117 weight class). Eklund has chosen Home Grown as his entrance music. Eklund has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. The key to victory for Tommy Du Mahss has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Du Mahss displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Eklund.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Du Mahss enables Eklund to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Du Mahss manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Du Mahss has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Eklund has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Du Mahss jumps guard but Eklund stands there with Du Mahss around his waist. Du Mahss gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Du Mahss wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Eklund has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Du Mahss clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Du Mahss is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet.
Eklund goes for a double leg but Du Mahss avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Du Mahss continues to drive forward.
Du Mahss swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Tommy Du Mahss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sven Eklund.

and Du Mahss counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Du Mahss tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Eklund swivels and escapes.
The fighters circling - Du Mahss throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Du Mahss works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Horrible takedown attempt by Eklund or perhaps it was just good defense by Du Mahss, which made it look bad.

Du Mahss swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Eklund.
Du Mahss connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Du Mahss throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Eklund's waist but Eklund gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Du Mahss off to one side.
Du Mahss swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Eklund shoots for a takedown but Du Mahss saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Eklund moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Du Mahss cracks Eklund with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Du Mahss has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Eklund to stand back up!
Eklund is rocked!
Du Mahss darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Eklund's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Du Mahss before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tommy Du Mahss!
