The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lashley closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kramnik gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Lashley tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Kramnik looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Kramnik is looking to improve his position.

Kramnik looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Lashley pushes past his half guard into mount!
Kramnik regains half guard.
Lashley trying to control the pace.
Lashley is looking to take a break and control but Kramnik is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kramnik on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Lashley is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Kramnik has managed to free his arm - good work.

Lashley tries to free his leg and advance position but Kramnik is retaining full guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kramnik looking for a guillotine here but Lashley defends easily.

Lashley gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Lashley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kramnik. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kramnik had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lashley is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kramnik Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lashley's back instead.

Lashley turns into Kramnik and is now in his guard.

Kramnik escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lashley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lashley wants to free his trapped foot but Kramnik is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Kramnik moves into full guard.

Kramnik looking for a guillotine here but Lashley defends easily.

Kramnik looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Lashley must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lashley looking to pass the guard.

A close round but Bobby Lashley will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kramnik blocks a jab.
Kramnik avoids the head kick by Lashley.
Lashley scores with a three punch combo!


It looks like Vladimir Kramnik has been cut.
Kramnik keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kramnik avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lashley closes the distance and clinches up with Kramnik, looking for a takedown. Lashley pushes Kramnik against the cage but Kramnik circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Lashley fails with a takedown attempt.
Vladimir Kramnik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Lashley.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lashley avoids the body shot from Kramnik.

Kramnik looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lashley!
Lashley tries to reverse the position but Kramnik maintains control.

Kramnik jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lashley manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Kramnik is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lashley is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Kramnik is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lashley knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lashley manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Kramnik uses his free foot to push down on Lashley's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lashley.

Lashley defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Kramnik.

Kramnik goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Lashley turns into him and now he's in Kramnik's guard.

Kramnik throws his legs up looking for a submission but Lashley uses it to pass to side control.
Kramnik tries to buck Lashley off but Lashley is having none of it.

and Kramnik counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lashley's guard now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kramnik stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lashley swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Lashley dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kramnik. That did some damage!

Lashley feints and as Kramnik raises his hands in defense, Lashley changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
