Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Okino Naruhiko (ranked 2459 p4p, 73 weight class) and Mongali Samson (ranked 24805 p4p, 214 weight class). Samson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hosh Tokolosh kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Okino Naruhiko had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Okino Naruhiko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mongali Samson!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Naruhiko closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Samson's guard.
Samson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Naruhiko stays in close to Samson's body and controls the position.
Samson has momentary wrist control but Naruhiko slips an elbow through the middle.
Naruhiko throwing strikes but missing.
Samson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Samson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Naruhiko is one step ahead there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Samson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Samson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Samson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Naruhiko works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Naruhiko landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.


It looks like Mongali Samson has been cut.
Naruhiko lands strikes from half guard.
Naruhiko tries to pass to full mount but Samson defends it.
Ground and pound from Naruhiko.
Samson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Naruhiko is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Naruhiko seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Samson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are battling for position here. Samson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Naruhiko is working Samson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.


That has opened up Mongali Samson's cut even more.

Samson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Naruhiko defends it easily.
Naruhiko wants to control from the top but Samson keeps moving.
Samson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Naruhiko lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.


The cut above Mongali Samson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Samson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Samson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Naruhiko controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Samson throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Naruhiko is in close to Samson's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Mongali Samson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mongali Samson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Okino Naruhiko!
