Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Okino Naruhiko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Harry Tournament! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tournament misses with a wild body shot. Tournament gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Tournament trying to control the position.
Naruhiko stands up over Tournament, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Naruhiko is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Naruhiko has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Naruhiko landing some decent shots from guard. Tournament controls Naruhiko momentarily but Naruhiko frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Naruhiko is working Tournament over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Naruhiko controls the pace of the fight for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Naruhiko is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Naruhiko working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tournament's head. Naruhiko content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Naruhiko is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tournament has momentary wrist control but Naruhiko slips an elbow through the middle.
Tournament is rocked! Naruhiko with a nice head shot there. Tournament is still in real trouble! Can Naruhiko finish him? Naruhiko postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Tournament covers up, he's hurt! Naruhiko keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Naruhiko and the ref steps in to end the fight! Naruhiko can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Okino Naruhiko! During a confident post fight interview, Okino Naruhiko thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
