Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grinny Lopez (ranked 3735 p4p, 122 weight class) and Augusto Pinochet (ranked 259 p4p, 14 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grinny Lopez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Augusto Pinochet! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pinochet moves into the clinch successfully.
Pinochet tries to pull guard but Lopez won't allow it.
Lopez pulls guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lopez throws his legs up looking for a submission but Pinochet uses it to pass to side control.
Pinochet working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Pinochet trying to control the action but Lopez is working from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Lopez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Lopez is looking for a sweep. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pinochet is trying to get an arm triangle but Lopez is defending well. Lopez tries to bench press Pinochet off him but Pinochet keeps the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lopez tries to get back to half guard but can't. Pinochet trying to control the position but Lopez is working away. My spies in Captain Turturro`s Pirate Ship inform me that Pinochet has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Pinochet tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pinochet has let go of the choke. God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lopez is positioning himself to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Augusto Pinochet dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

It looks like Augusto Pinochet has been cut. Lopez stalks Pinochet and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pinochet's face. Pinochet staggers backwards, shaken. Pinochet forces Lopez back against the cage and clinches. A head punch blocked on the inside by Pinochet. Pinochet fails to pull guard.
Lopez throws a head punch that misses. Lopez misses with a short punch on the inside. Pinochet tries to pull guard but Lopez holds him up against the cage and eventually Pinochet drops back down to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pinochet is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pinochet drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pinochet jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lopez working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pinochet avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pinochet thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Pinochet is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Lopez controls Pinochet momentarily but Pinochet frees himself. Lopez is pulling down on Pinochet's head. It's preventing any offense from Pinochet, at least for the moment. Pinochet controlling from the top position. Pinochet pushes down on Lopez's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lopez wants to get back to full guard. Pinochet is looking for a kimura but Lopez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pinochet to get the leverage. Pinochet prevents Lopez from improving his position. Lopez controlling the position well. Pinochet is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lopez has managed to free his arm - good work. Lopez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pinochet is working away from the top position though. Pinochet controlling the action here. Lopez wants to improve his position but Pinochet is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lopez is working hard here to advance position. Pinochet is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Lopez moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Pinochet trying to control the position from guard on top but Lopez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pinochet passes Lopez's left leg - he's now in half guard. Pinochet is trying for a kimura here. Lopez looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Pinochet wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Augusto Pinochet! Augusto Pinochet decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
