Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reck Shoppe!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burks tries to clinch but Shoppe moves out of range.
Good shot there by Shoppe.
Burks walks into a straight right hand from Shoppe.
Shoppe lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Shoppe.
Burks takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Shoppe lands with a cross.
Burks takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Burks takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Shoppe thows a left - swing and a miss!
Burks wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shoppe throws a jab when Burks was well out of range.
Burks seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Shoppe defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Burks.
Shoppe lands with a cross.
Shoppe throws a shot from downtown. Burks moves away and avoids it.
Burks went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Burks takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Shoppe thuds his right hand into Burks's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shoppe swings for the body but Burks moves out of range.
Burks is looking for a counter combo.
Burks takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Burks takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Shoppe lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Burks clinches up against the cage.
Shoppe is trying to force a seperation but Burks has the dominant position.
Shoppe is looking to break free of the clinch but Burks has double underhooks.
Shoppe has had enough of the clinch but Burks keeps him there for the moment.
Shoppe is trying to break the clinch but Burks has him pressed against the cage.
Shoppe is trying to break free.
Burks has Shoppe pressed against the cage, preventing Shoppe from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Burks keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Shoppe's efforts to push away.

Burks decides to pull guard.
Shoppe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Shoppe wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Burks's closed guard. He's half up but Burks has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Burks pivots and extends the arm, Shoppe falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Burks! Well done that man!
