Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dupreeh Haymaker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Marcus! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice shot by Haymaker. Marcus drops his hands momentarily and Haymaker takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Marcus misses the jab. Marcus takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Haymaker lands with a straight right. Marcus didn't see that one coming. Haymaker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Marcus takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Haymaker scores with a jab to the jaw. Haymaker scores with a sloppy right hand. Marcus should have avoided that one. Marcus has a takedown stuffed. Nice straight punches there by Haymaker. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Haymaker. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Marcus takes one to the chin there. Marcus walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haymaker swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Marcus counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Marcus. Marcus successfully pulls guard.
Haymaker wanted to stand there but Marcus had control of the position. Marcus is pulling down on Haymaker's head to control his posture. Haymaker has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Haymaker wants to stand but Marcus is controlling his posture from full guard. Marcus pulls Haymaker in to control the position. Marcus has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Haymaker doesn't defend quickly enough and Marcus has managed to lock this one up! Can Haymaker escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Marcus on a fantastic submission victory.
