The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cricky connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Coleman steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cricky.

Coleman tries to clinch up but Cricky circles away and keeps his distance.

Coleman tries to close the distance and clinch but Cricky swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jimbo Cricky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cricky wants to get back to his feet but Coleman passes into half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Phil Coleman was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
