The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thompson looks for a takedown but Jackson sprawls well. Thompson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Thompson lands in his opponent's guard. Thompson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Jackson pushes Thompson off and scrambles back to his feet.

Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Thompson circles away quickly and effectively. Jackson wants to clinch up but Thompson keeps it at a distance. Jackson is looking to clinch. Jackson connects with a nice cross there... Thompson is looking wobbly and Jackson recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Thompson to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Jackson jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
