Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rory Robbins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Ralf Iversen! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Iversen misses. Robbins gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Iversen counters with a nice uppercut. A looping hook to the body misses from Robbins. Iversen does a little dance to reset his feet. Robbins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Robbins shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Iversen but Iversen pushes him off and we're back to square one. Iversen drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Robbins defends it well. Robbins throws a hook to the side of Iversen's head but Iversen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A swing and a miss from Robbins. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Iversen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Robbins sprawls well. Robbins wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Iversen gets slowly back to his feet. It looked like Robbins was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Iversen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Robbins misses with a takedown attempt - Iversen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rory Robbins. That's going to take a lot out of him. Robbins throws a jab but it's blocked by Iversen. Ralf Iversen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Robbins displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Iversen. Iversen looks winded! Iversen moves into range and clinches up with Robbins. Iversen fails to pull guard.

Robbins avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Robbins pulls guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Robbins has his hands on Iversen's head, controlling the position. Robbins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Iversen moves into the clinch. Robbins jumps into guard, dragging Iversen to the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Robbins is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Robbins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Iversen's guard. Robbins throwing strikes from guard but Iversen blocks nicely. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Robbins wants to control from the top but Iversen keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rory Robbins will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Iversen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Robbins pinned against the cage. Robbins gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Iversen drives through and clinches with Robbins against the cage.

Iversen is breathing heavily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Robbins thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Iversen tries to stand but Robbins is controlling from the bottom. Iversen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Robbins preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Robbins looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A looping hook to the body misses from Robbins. Iversen does a little dance to reset his feet. Iversen gets off balance looking for a body kick and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Iversen closes the distance and clinches. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Robbins tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Iversen just stands there and leans against the cage. Robbins tries to pull guard but Iversen holds him up against the cage and eventually Robbins drops back down to his feet.

Iversen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Robbins but Robbins pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Robbins or perhaps it was just good defense by Iversen, which made it look bad. Robbins loads up on a big right hand but Iversen slips the punch. Ralf Iversen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Iversen rushes Robbins and presses him up against the cage. Iversen wants to take the fight to the mat but Robbins manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Robbins jumps guard but Iversen stands there with Robbins around his waist. Robbins gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Ralf Iversen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Robbins scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Robbins throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Robbins lands a decent elbow from side control. Robbins cracks Iversen with an elbow. That is naaassty. Iversen is not content to let Robbins control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Robbins laying and praying for a moment but Iversen takes advantage and regains half guard. Iversen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Robbins is trying to control the action in half guard but Iversen is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Robbins controlling the pace. Robbins wants to take a breather but Iversen is having none of it. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Nice takedown defense from Iversen. No joy for Robbins on that attempt. Iversen shoots for a takedown but Robbins saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Iversen takes the fight into the clinch. Robbins slows down the pace here.

He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Iversen is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment. Iversen effectively controlling the action here. Iversen breaks from the clinch.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Robbins lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Iversen has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Iversen and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Robbins jabbing away but nothing is landing. Robbins displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Iversen. Robbins appears to be looking for a counter takedown. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Ralf Iversen. I think Iversen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
