Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Nordquist (ranked 3244 p4p, 262 weight class) and Enzo Salvatore (ranked 1415 p4p, 143 weight class). Salvatore has chosen Reich mir die Hand as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Nordquist! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Enzo Salvatore! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salvatore scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Nordquist is staying active underneath Salvatore, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Nordquist keeping control of the position. Nordquist wants to get back to full guard. Nordquist is looking to escape. My spies in Soul Supremacy Rio inform me that Salvatore has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Salvatore is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Salvatore wants to free his trapped foot but Nordquist is holding on for dear life with his legs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nordquist is looking to escape. Salvatore wants to take a breather but Nordquist is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nordquist gets back to full guard.
Nordquist manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Salvatore looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Nordquist manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Salvatore keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Salvatore blocking some punches.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nordquist manages to break the clinch.
Nordquist paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Salvatore throws a jab but it's blocked by Nordquist. Salvatore throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nordquist's waist but Nordquist gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salvatore off to one side. No joy there for Nordquist, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Salvatore closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salvatore trying to control from Nordquist's half guard. Nordquist has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Nordquist looking for a sweep. Not yet Nordquist, not yet. Salvatore tries to free his leg and advance position but Nordquist is retaining full guard. Nordquist trying to control the position.
Salvatore slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nordquist wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Salvatore postures up in Nordquist's guard and throws a big left but Nordquist blocks it. Salvatore prevents Nordquist from getting back to his feet. Nordquist manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Salvatore manages to get himself to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nordquist wants to control from the top but Salvatore keeps moving. Salvatore looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nordquist is one step ahead there. Salvatore throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Nordquist wants to stand and escape but instead Salvatore has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Salvatore looking to sit in guard and control but Nordquist gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Salvatore looking to control.
Salvatore looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Nordquist puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Nordquist wants to stand up but Salvatore manages to regain full guard. Nordquist controls from within his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Nordquist dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

It looks like John Nordquist has been cut. Salvatore lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Nordquist can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Salvatore and Nordquist drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Salvatore.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Enzo Salvatore! An out of breath Enzo Salvatore thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
