The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cuds tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kontrec manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kontrec.
Cuds looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kontrec!
Kontrec struggling a bit here.
Kontrec is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cuds's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Kontrec is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cuds's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cuds's back!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kontrec blocks a body shot from Cuds.
Kontrec breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
