Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Timur Mayrbekov (ranked 2383 p4p, 280 weight class) and Conor Larkin (ranked 7279 p4p, 550 weight class). Mayrbekov comes to the ring accompanied by Ali Dimaev - Nokhchicho. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Timur Mayrbekov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Conor Larkin! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mayrbekov looks to score with a jab to the body but Larkin is just out of range. Mayrbekov misses with a body shot.
Mayrbekov shoots in but Larkin avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jab, jab by Larkin - just one landing. Larkin throws a series of strikes that have Mayrbekov backpedaling.
Mayrbekov throws a body shot but no joy. Mayrbekov misses with a takedown attempt letting Larkin counter with a right hand.
Mayrbekov is rocked! Nice body kick there by Larkin. Oh Mayrbekov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mayrbekov misses with a body shot.
It seemed like Larkin was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Mayrbekov seems to have got his legs back now. Larkin stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timur Mayrbekov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Larkin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Mayrbekov shoots in but no luck this time. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Larkin connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mayrbekov momentarily.
Mayrbekov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Larkin is fending him off so far but Mayrbekov persists. Nope, Larkin circles away and we're back to standing. Larkin moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mayrbekov blocks a head kick by Larkin.
Mayrbekov fails in his attempt to clinch. Larkin misses with a body shot.
Larkin connects with the punch. A telegraphed right hand from Mayrbekov misses the target. Timur Mayrbekov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mayrbekov fails with a takedown attempt. Mayrbekov looks to land a right hand but Larkin moved out of range. Mayrbekov showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Larkin.
Mayrbekov moves out of range as Larkin strikes. Larkin lands with a right hand. Larkin misses with a body kick. A jab from Mayrbekov misses. Mayrbekov takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mayrbekov throws out a loose jab but Larkin uses good head movement to avoid it. Larkin is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Larkin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Mayrbekov throws a body punch but Larkin moves out of range. Larkin throws out a counter right but Mayrbekov avoids it with no problem. Larkin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mayrbekov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Larkin. Mayrbekov checks a leg kick nicely. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Larkin. Mayrbekov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Larkin. Mayrbekov scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Mayrbekov shoots for a double leg takedown but Larkin sprawls well. He's pushed Mayrbekov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Mayrbekov dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Mayrbekov tries to clinch there but Larkin circles away.
Larkin has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Mayrbekov wants to clinch up but Larkin keeps it at a distance. Mayrbekov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Larkin as he jumps to the side. Larkin throws out a counter right but Mayrbekov avoids it with no problem.

Larkin stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Mayrbekov is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Larkin's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. A punch lands to the side of Mayrbekov 's head but he takes it in his stride. Mayrbekov swings for the body but Larkin moves out of range.
Larkin sends Mayrbekov crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Larkin is motioning to the referee to let Mayrbekov up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mayrbekov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Larkin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Larkin drops Mayrbekov with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Mayrbekov! Larkin dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Conor Larkin!
